About this trip
Wirikuta is a natural protected area in the northern state of San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Since 1998, it is included in UNESCO’s Natural Sacred Sites network. This journey begins with the mysticism of the Wirikuta desert, the sacred land of the Huichol.

Day 1 & 2
Wirikuta & Real de Catorce
From San Luis Potosí we travel to the Wirikuta Natural and Cultural Ecological Reserve, a sacred eco-system for the Wixárika culture. We will wander through a desert with the largest biodiversity and species of cacti on the planet and we’ll learn about its history and myths. We will end our day in Real de Catorce and we'll spend 2 nights enjoying this enigmatic town.
