The day peaks with a visit to a local gallery, featuring a panel discussion by Addis-based photographers Abi and Sehin on "Responsible Stories in Africa." This event is also a wonderful opportunity to connect with Addis Ababa's vibrant creative community.

Awaken to the bustling energy of Addis Ababa and dive into the sensory overload of Merkato Market at sunrise, a melting pot of colors, sounds, and scents. After breakfast, embark on a cultural exploration of the city, guided by the insights of local photographers Abi & Sehin. Their storytelling through the lens offers a unique perspective, encouraging you to capture moments with respect and authenticity. 

We will wrap up the day with an input on creative process, documentary vs. conceptual photography and the importance of finding and crafting your own story - with integrity.

The afternoon's conceptual Priest Moment at Biete Betalehem is an opportunity for meaningful cultural exchange, deepening your understanding of the religious traditions. The Midnight Mass at St. Mary's is a highlight of your journey, a time to witness and respectfully document a centuries-old celebration that brings the community together in prayer and devotion. At around 2am everyone returns home to break the fast with their families. If the skies are clear this would also be a great opportunity for some stargazing and night photography as there is barely any light pollution in Lalibela. 

After a leisurely breakfast, return to Addis Ababa, reflect on the cultural immersion and the stories you've gathered, ready to share them with the world in a way that honors the spirit of Ethiopia. The final dinner is a celebration of the connections made and the insights gained, a fitting end to your journey of storytelling and photography that respects the essence of the places and people you've encountered.
