Cabo Pulmo is a small fishing village turned into an ecotourism paradise. It was established as a Marine Park in 1995.
It is one of only three living reefs in North America and the only one in the Sea of Cortez. The park consists of multiple fingers of hard coral that stretch along the park boundaries.
Cabo Pulmo has more than 24 dive sites, which vary in depth from 30 to 100 feet.
5 of these sites are considered popular. They have special requirements such as being advanced divers and having more than 20 logged dives. this in order to guarantee the well-being of the sites (park rules).
Nautilus Dive Tech loves to go to Cabo Pulmo on any date. Throughout the year the water has different temperatures, which means that different migratory, pelagic and recurrent species can be sighted during the whole year.
As we can have very clear and warm waters, we can have cold and dark waters. Don’t worry! No matter which one we find, each of them is filled with different surprises with more opportunities to see different species such as jacks, groupers, mobula, cow nose ray, bull shark, humpback whales and more than 900 species of tropical fish and invertebrates.
