About this trip

Reconnect with your wise, courageous, radiant self on this 8-day journey along the shores of Lake Atitlan. From awe-inspiring vistas to a lovingly crafted itinerary, this all inclusive retreat is designed to re-awaken a vibrant, alive part of yourself.

  • Experience the joyful connection that emerges when women gather with the intention to witness themselves and receive from one another.
  • Uncover your wholeness through daily sessions inspired by yoga + movement, guided self-reflection, and creative expression.
  • Open yourself wonder with excursions to lakeside villages, classes led by local women, and ceremonies grounded in traditional Maya wisdom.
  • Tend to yourself in a gentle, unhurried way with abundant time outside, delicious meals, and a rhythm of rest and renewal.

A week of delight, wonder and connection

We will gather together at Villa Sumaya, an oasis of peace and tranquility and the perfect setting for reflection, soulful connections, and joyful explorations.  It's here - surrounded by stunning beauty, rich traditions, and bold colors  - that we’ll nurture our spirits, connect with women who lift our hearts, and give voice to what’s calling us into our future.

Through daily yoga and movement sessions, adventures around the lake, cultural activities, creative prompts, laughter, stillness, and celebration, we'll allow space for our wholeness to emerge. Throughout the week, the energy of wonder and presence will guide our explorations and invite us to connect deeply with ourselves, our community, and the beauty of Lake Atitlan.

We'll bring the spirit of discovery to:

INNER AND OUTER EXPLORATIONS Each aspect of the retreat is an invitation to be ever more present to the world around you and to what is moving through you. Practices such as reflective writing, yoga + gentle movement, guided meditation, time in nature, ceremonies, and adventuring will open us to our sacredness and deepen our capacity for connection and delight.

VIBRANT TRADITIONS Throughout the week we’ll explore Maya traditions alive in the highlands of Guatemala. We will participate in a fire ceremony with a Maya Day Keeper, visit with a woman who weaves traditional textiles, and tour a village where life-size murals depict scenes from daily life. We’ll also experience the sensory wonder of a temazcal (sweat lodge) ritual, and have the chance to bead a bracelet in the local style, prepare a Guatemalan feast, or go to a woman's home and weave a scarf.

SPACIOUSNESS The retreat intentionally includes unscheduled time so you can create the perfect week for yourself: take a dip in the lake, stroll into town for some sightseeing with friends, savor a massage or spa treatment, go on a hike, take an afternoon nap, rent a kayak, soak in the hot tub, take a sauna, hang out in your hammock, enjoy a smoothie or a cocktail by the pool, or sit on the dock and breathe in the tranquility and ease of Lake Atitlán.

I'd love to welcome you on this journey

Lake Atitlan has a unique sacredness that awakens my heart, and I love sharing its magnificence with others. If reading about this retreat or seeing these images kindles any sort of longing in you, I invite you to get curious about what you are feeling. If you discover this retreat is a "YES!" for you, it will be a joy to welcome you on this journey of discovery.
