You will arrive in Lisbon airport and will be welcomed by one of our Representatives who will be waiting for you at the airport. You will be escorted from the airport and driven to your first hotel in Lisbon to enjoy free time, dinner and an overnight stay. 

Overnight in Lisbon

We will start the morning with a cultural city tour around Lisbon. We will get to see sites such as the beautiful Belem Tower, also known as the tower of Saint Vincent, St. Jerome’s Monastery, A UNESCO world heritage site, St. Anthony’s Church, built over St. Anthony's birthplace in 1195. 

We will also see Rossio Square, Lisbons main square since the middle ages. Restauradores Square, which is dedicated to the restoration of the independence of Portugal in 1640 after 80 years of Spanish control. We will also get to relax in the very peaceful ambience of Largo do Carmo square and view all the beautiful trees, historical buildings, fascinating church ruins and amazing city views.

We will then get to walk through the elegant Chiado Neighborhood and experience the many shops, old cafes, theaters and bookstores. We will later head to Fatima with a stop on the way in Santarem where the 13th century Eucharistic miracle of the bleeding host took place. This is where blood started to trickle from the consecrated host during Mass. We will then continue to Fatima, one of the most visited Marian Shrines in the world. Roughly 4 million pilgrims visit Fatima each year. Upon arrival we will enjoy dinner, free time and a restful overnight stay.

Overnight in Fatima

We will begin our full day in Fatima with a visit to the little chapel of the apparitions. This chapel has been built to commemorate the miracle of Virgin Mary appearing to the three children on May 13, 1917. We will then continue with a visit to the remarkable Our Lady of the Rosary Basilica. The basilica contains the tombs of the three children that Our Lady appeared to, St. Francisco, St. Jacinta and Sister Lucia. We will then head to the Holy Trinity Basilica. This modern basilica has beautiful mosaics and artifacts that our pilgrims love to explore.

We will continue the day with a visit to Via Sacra, also known as “The Sacred Way”. Here will will be able to participate in the stations of the cross on the same path taken by the three children to their first apparition of Our Lady. There are 15 small chapels along “The Sacred Way” commemorating the Passion of our Lord. We will then continue to Valinhos, the site of Our Lady's fourth apparition in August 19, 1917 and the 1st and 3rd apparitions of the Guardian Angel of Portugal. After dinner, we will end the evening with a beautiful candlelight procession and rosary with devoted pilgrims from all over the world.

Overnight in Fatima

After breakfast, we will depart Fatima and head to Salamanca. One of Spains most fascinating cities. It is well known for its sandstone architecture and large historic university. We will begin the day with a stop at Plaza Mayor. This is Spain’s most beautiful plaza which is located right in the center of Salamanca. It is a popular gathering area that is full of people which gives it a beautiful energetic ambience. We will then head to La Clerecia. This historic Catholic church features iconic bell towers and sweeping city views. 

We will then head to Casa de las Conchas. This very unique historic building built in the late 14th and early 15th century currently serves as a public library. We continue on to the University of Salamanca, the large institution that the the city of Salamanca is most known for. It is the oldest Spanish university in existence and was founded by Alfonso lX of Leaon in 1218. You will be taken back in time and mesmerized by the beautiful architecture of the building. We will then continue to the Roman Bridge. This ancient bridge and national monument spans the Tormes River and entrance to the city of Salamanca.

We will continue on and visit La Iglesia de San Marcos. This uniquely round shaped church contains paintings portraying many scenes of Our Lady’s life. We then head to La Iglesia de San Martin, a church devoted to St. Martin de Porres who is a patron saint of people of mixed race and all those seeking racial harmony. We end the day with dinner and a restful nights sleep.

Overnight in Salamanca

After breakfast we will take a short ride to Alba de Tormes. This town is home to the Carmelite Monastery that Saint Teresa founded in 1571. Our first stop in Alba de Tormes is the Basilica of Saint Teresa. This basilica was built in the place of St. Teresa's death and burial. We will then take a short walk to the Carmelite Museum and actually get to see St. Teresa’s remains which are buried and displayed in a small chapel. Here you will see her incorrupt heart and arm which are enshrined and displayed.

We will then depart Alba de Tormes and head to Avila. This city in Spain is best known for its medieval fortified walls that surround the town. What will amaze you most is these walls are still fully intact and standing strong even after many hundreds of years. In Avila you will get to first visit The Cathedral de Avila. This Romanesque and Gothic architected building stands as both a church and fortress. We will then head to La Basilica de San Vicente. This basilica stands on the traditional site of the martyrdom of St. Vincent at the hands of the Romans.

We will then head to the Incarnation Convent of St. Teresa. This is where St. Teresa became a nun, lived, wrote and had many of her mystical experiences. Once we have completed our tour of Avila we will depart to Burgos. This timeless city hosts many historical landmarks, churches and places from the medieval ages. We will enjoy dinner, free time and a restful nights sleep.

Overnight in Burgos

We begin the day with a walking tour of Burgos, starting with a visit to the Burgos Cathedral which is dedicated to Saint Mary of Burgos. This is Spain’s third largest cathedral and Burgos’ main attraction. Once we have fully explored the cathedral we will head to the Arco de Santa Maria, which is a fortified gate and one of the 12 medieval doors the city had during the middle ages. 

Once we finish exploring Burgos, we will head to Lourdes with a short visit to Loyola to explore the Basilica of St. Ignatius of Loyola. This basilica was built around the birthplace of St. Ignatius of Loyola, who is the founder of the Society of Jesus, also known as the Jesuits. This Roman Catholic order of priests and brothers is engaged in evangelization and apostolic ministry in 112 nations.

After our visit to Loyola has concluded, we will make our way to Lourdes while enjoying a scenic drive through the beautiful Pyrenees Mountains. Lourdes is one of the worlds most visited Catholic Marian Shrines and is located in the southwest of France. Upon arrival in Lourdes, we will enjoy dinner, free time and a restful nights sleep.

Overnight Lourdes

We will spend the next 2 full days in Lourdes exploring and experiencing the life changing transformations this town brings six million pilgrims each year. We will briefly touch on the main sites and activities you will have the opportunity to explore with your group. We will get to visit the Grotto of Massabielle. This is the site of where Our Lady first appeared to 14 year old Bernadette in 1858 during one of her 18 apparitions. If Mass is available at the Grotto during our 2 days there, we will attend a beautiful mass. We will also get to witness the Miraculous Spring in the Grotto. This spring was discovered by St. Bernadette during one of her apparitions. We will also have the opportunity to experience the Healing Baths and submerge ourselves into water that is filled from the spring water that flows in the Grotto.

We will also be able to fill a personal bottle of Lourdes Water from the spring in the Grotto at the fountains outside. We can drink the water and take it home with us to share with our family & friends at home. We will also get to visit the Way of the Cross and follow along the Stations of the Cross that overlook the Grotto of Massabielle. The large, life sized stations let you truly experience our Lord’s journey like never before. During our time in Lourdes we will also get to visit the Boly Mill. This is where St. Bernadette was born on January 7th, 1844. Since her parents were pool millers, who worked in the grain mill, they were generally known in Lourdes as the “Millers of Boly”.

We will then get to visit The Cachot, this tiny prison is where St. Bernadette and her poor family lived in the 1850s. Each evening, after dinner, you will have the opportunity to join the beautiful Candlelight Procession and Rosary before a restful nights sleep.

Overnight in Lourdes

This morning we will depart to Barcelona with a stop on the way in the mountain village of Montserrat. Here we will visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Montserrat. For 700 years this Marian shrine has attracted thousands of pilgrims from all around the world. We will also get to see the Black Madonna of Montserrat, which is one of Spain’s most fervent devotions to our Blessed Mother. 

We will later continue on to the nearby capital city of Barcelona, one of the worlds most visited tourist destinations. Here we will enjoy dinner and a restful nights sleep. 

Overnight Barcelona

We will start our full day in Barcelona with a panoramic city tour including a drive up Montjuic where we will enjoy sweeping city views of Barcelona and view the facilities of the 1992 Olympic Games. We will also get to visit Plaza de Catalunya which is Barcelona’s busiest square located by the old city center. 

Another highlight of your tour is walking down Las Ramblas, this vibrant street is filled with many restaurants, shops and beautiful architecture. We will later get to visit Sagrada Familia Basilica. This unfinished Roman Catholic basilica is Barcelonas most famous landmark and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 

We will later get to visit Park Güell, one of the most impressive public parks in the world. This masterpiece was designed by the famous architect Antonio Guadi.
