About this trip

Dirtbiking for 1st Timers is designed for first time riders, new bike owners, new clutch users, street to dirt crossovers or “rode as a kid” dirtbikers with a goal of gaining control, managing the bike safely and establishing proper dirtbiking techniques.

Dirtbike lessons Saturdays 10AM-3PM (April – Nov)

LEARN TO RIDE RIGHT

Starting off right means also knowing how to stop. Riders focus on getting control of their machines so they can safely operate the bike on off-road terrain.

Beginning with how a dirtbike works and what the controls do, First Timers familiarizes riders with equipment and proper technique.

Current, crossover and "haven't ridden in years" riders. You may not need to know where the clutch is but you'll quickly learn that FUNDAMENTALS ARE CLUTCH. We're confident you'll experience a few huge "ah-ha!" moments that will answer key questions and unlock your talent.

FOCUS ON FUNDAMENTALS

Balanced body positioning and control. Keeping your fingers on the levers; hand and foot position; standing to ride; power supply and delivery; shifting and braking are all introduced and reinforced consistently in this First Timers course helping all riders quickly establish positive habits that will last a lifetime.

ADD RIDE DAY!

Supervised and guided trail rides. We help new and returning off-road riders get to know their local trails, tracks and riding facilities. This special 2-Day package pricing is offered exclusively in conjunction with First Timers.

Our goal is to help you get out on the trail feeling good and having fun, safely.  Emphasizing awareness, etiquette and skill building, Enduro Ranch Ride Days are a fun, safe way to hit the trail. And they aren't limited to just one. Ride Day Packages of 1, 3 and 5 days.

How it works. We'll meet at a the trailhead or nearby location for carpooling. After gearing up, riders are briefed by Enduro Ranch guides and we'll hit the trails!

Ride Days are always on the Sunday following Day 1 of a First Timers course but you can attend any scheduled date during the current annual season. (April - November)

BYOB! (BRING YOUR OWN BIKE)

Of course you can ride your own. Then we don't even have to haul one for ya! 😉

As a bonus for making it easy on us, we can help you dial in your setup to ensure your getting the most from your ride. A few tweaks to help body positioning or improve how it operates will allow you to be a more effective rider.

RENT A BIKE

Youth Rental bikes are available for Riders 5'6" at just $75 per day. Taller than 5'7"? Adult Standard or Premium bikes can be added to your 1 or 2 day package.

A second day, "Ride Day" can be added for $150 plus any applicable rental. It's an awesome way to take your new skills out onto the trail. And, it will help you get a feel for where your skills can take you in the future.

Premium Bikes come with an additional charge of $225/day and are NOT RECOMMENDED FOR FIRST TIME RIDERS.

SCHEDULED DATES

COURSE COMPLETION

Jumping the gun and hitting a local trail too early can be exhilarating, but it can also be kinda sketch, or terrifying. Dirtbiking is supposed to be fun . . . We that that pretty seriously.

Completing the First Timers program should leave you feeling confident go get out on the local trails for your first time or with your buddies. Coming in at any level you'll ride out far more educated and aware than you'd imagine.

"Lack of momentum exposes flaws in your technique." - Rich Larson | The IRC Tire Guy

To complete the First Timers training you'll need to demonstrate you're large and in charge with the basics. This isn't about going straight and hitting a kicker. Getting a little air is easy. This is about getting control of your machine.

- Do you have the composure to stop whenever and wherever you want?

- Can you turn the bike around in a tight space?

- Are you shifting to match the slope of the terrain?

- Are you in balance or out of balance while riding?

- These are a serious of challenges that require the rider to genuinely manage their machine.

UNLIMITED RIDE DAYS

Available exclusively through LEVEL UP you can attend every Ride Day of the season. With over 25 slated every season, this is one more reason to join the LEVEL UP program and gain the skill and confidence to Ride More Places Better.

PARENTS, HUSBANDS AND BOYFRIENDS

Take the pressure off yourself and let the professionals do the hard work for you. We got this. And so do you. You're just a few clicks from opening a whole new world to you and yours without feeling responsible for managing every restart, bike pickup or safety measure.

A family affair.

We love to see parents riding with their kids. If you've ever wanted to learn to ride, now is the time. Sign up with your kid or kiddos and make the most of an outdoor family lifestyle destined for trailheads, campgrounds and miles of smiles in the National Forest and on BLM lands.

Had a great time learning new skills
By Eric V for Enduro Essentials 2-Day with Rich Larsen on Oct 15, 2024
I had very high expectations for this Dirt Bike enduro skills class. Rich met and exceeded all my expectations. The class was educational and enjoyable. Rich has an amazing ability to convey concepts like no one else in the Dirt Bike world. Most importantly he gives everyone the personal attention and feedback to make sure they get the skills hes teaching. My only suggestion would be that the class would be 3 days, 6 hours a day instead of the two days as I was feeling a bit fatigued at the end of the 8 hour days. All in all I highly recommend this course as I have already seen a big improvement in my riding.

Ian from EnduroRanch was a great host and excellent addition for the Rich Larson training. It was tough and long but rewarding.

The Instructors at Enduro Ranch did a great job of introducing me and my son to off road motorcycles in a safe and fun way. It is clear that the instructors care about safety and skill-building. I would reccommend to others and will likely take another class. Mark & Nico Hafley

The kids had an amazing time at dirt bike camp and couldn't stop talking about it afterwards. The only problem is now they want dirt bikes and to go all the time. Hats off to the great instructors and the awesome time they provided.
