FIT is so excited to return to Kenya for the 2025 Lewa Safari Marathon for the 25th anniversary of this marathon & half-marathon program. Camp under the Kenya stars and experience one of the world’s most scenic marathon courses, as you run through an African game preserve, past zebras & antelope, with the peaks of Mt. Kenya in the distance. Check this destination off your bucket list and run wild in Kenya at the 2025 Lewa Safari Marathon - there is nothing like it!
Join FIT as they embark on this journey to Africa on this one-of-a-kind trip. Experience the wonders of Nairobi, the elephant orphanage and Karen Blixen museum before you head to the Ark for a 1 night stay, departing the next day for your 3-nights at Location Africa Films outdoor camp at the marathon start and finish.
FIT is your expert when it comes to this gem of a continent. Kelly has completed the marathon and half-marathon twice and will be on the ground with you during this experience to ensure a hassle-free experience. All you need to focus on is your training and booking your flights—we’ll handle the rest!

FIT Extension: Luxury Safari (Masai Mara
Not to miss! FIT is excited to head to the Masai Mara for a traditional safari tour and stay at Governor's Camp in the Mara. The BBC Show, Big Cat Dairies, was filmed from this tented camp location along the banks of the Mara River. We highly recommend extending your travel to join this luxury safari tour and add on the hot air balloon ride!
It is easy to add the extension package onto your booking.

Lewa-Traditional Mobile Camp: Our set up is a comfortable eco-friendly mobile tented camp of large walk-in tents with verandah area. They are fully equipped with double or twin beds, linen, side tables & rags, solar lantern, dressing table & chair. On the verandah, hand wash basin, mirror and canvas chairs. Hot ‘bush’ shower and ‘short drop’ toilet are located at the rear of each unit. Hurricane lanterns both in front and at the rear of each unit. Meals are served in a spacious semi open mess with reading and relaxing area, dining and buffet area.
