You’ll start the day with an Athens City Tour featuring the Ancient Olympic Stadium, Temple of Zeus and Syntagma Square. Next, travel back in time to the Acropolis and explore the art and history of the incredible Parthenon, symbol of democracy and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. We’ll also view classical masterpieces on display at the New Acropolis Museum and then will continue to Plaka, the oldest part of the city, known for authentic restaurants and shopping. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure exploring Athens.

This morning takes you to the Port of Piraeus for a high-speed ferry to the Aegean island of Mykonos. Check into your hotel for a two-night stay and enjoy the remainder of the day discovering the charming buildings and sandy beaches of this iconic and festive town.

We take a ferry to Delos this morning, the legendary birthplace of Apollo and one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece. A tour is included, featuring the Temple of Apollo, the Sanctuary of Artemis, the Old City, the Theater and the Terrace of the Lions. You’ll have free time in the afternoon, perfect for further sightseeing or a visit to the Museum of Delos. We end the day with a return to Mykonos for dinner on your own at one of the town’s exceptional restaurants.

Mykonos - Santorini
Famous for it’s white-washed buildings perched above turquoise waters, Santorini is one of the most picturesque islands in the world. We’ll begin the day with a high-speed ferry to the island and will first enjoy a visit to a local winery for a tour & tasting. The volcanic soil and climate of Santorini give local wines a unique flavor. Next, travel to the coastal town of Oia and enjoy a Walking Tour of this captivating cliffside village, one of the most photographed places in Greece. Later, you’ll check in for a two-night hotel stay and enjoy a dinner with your fellow travelers.

We were greatly disappointed with the organization of this trip through Tours of Distinction. Here are the reasons: (1) Tour was booked in January 2024. Primary small group 25 or less. Actual number of clients: 80 with two large busses with no WiFi - False advertising on the web site. (2) Lack of Organizational skills and poor communication from Tours of Distinction. With 4 weeks before trip departure, I had to call Tours of Distinction 3 times for information of forthcoming trip. (3) Free airfare was included. We purchased upgraded seats because of the cheap seats from Tours of Distinction. (4) Bus number 1 had one representative (contractor) from Tours of Distinction Our bus number 2 had one representative from ToD and one from Southwest Adventure Tours. (5) Confusing was monumental for the first two days for the agenda was changed on the fly. (6) Bus number one (40 people+-) always arrived at stops before us in bus number two which we were on. We endured long waits for bathrooms, food etc. I was told 3 weeks before the scheduled trip that the number of travelers had jumped to two busses and 80 +- tourist. My wife and I were extremely upset. I was told by a rep at ToD that although there would be two busses, they would not travel together. A flagrant lie from a rep at ToD. The two busses became a caravan. (7) On a positive note the food and accommodations were acceptable. However, as seniors, 2 motels did not have any elevators and accommodations were on the 2nd floor. For future considerations, seniors should always have a room on the first floor. (8) We left the hotels generally by 07:00 and did not arrive at our next hotel generally after 21:00. For all of us, seniors, it was an exhausting daily schedule. (9) The scenic sites made this trip. ( 10) Our driver Mike Wilhelm, Tour Director Ginny Sample and Step on Guide Wayne Parker were OUSTANDING and were focused on the needs of bus number 2 NOTE: Mike, Ginny and Wayne, covered up the unprofessionalism of Tours of Distinction Hdq. (11) My wife and I will never recommend Tours of Distinction to our family and friends. I will also be submitting this review on Yelp.

It was an amazing trip. The only down side was the long, days which are hard on seniors. I would recommend extending the trips a day or two. if leaving early, get back to hotel a little earlier with more flexibility. The tour director Tanja was wonderfully knowledgeable as well as the bus driver, Ron., was an excellent driver. We were in bus 1 with Loretta also.

There seem to be alot of confusion about our daily itinerary. It appeared that another bus load may not have been expected. Having said that, we thoroughly enjoyed all the events and visits to different places and saw so many amazing things. The driver was fantastic (Mike) and the guides, Jenny and Walter, we’re knowledgeable and very helpful. It did seem like we were on the bus more than we were seeing places. The hotels were nice and accommodating. Overall, enjoyed all the events and sights. It is a fast paced trip having to pack up every morning and usually eat and leave by 7:00 am. But, if you want to see things, that is what is required! People were nice and friendly.

This was one of the most fun trips my best friend and I have taken, and all credit goes to Loretta, our tour director. She was kind and efficient, and you can tell she really cares about her job and the people she shepherds around the world! She is so accommodating and empathic. I do wish we hadn't had to wake up so early every morning but I understand that's a risk you take when signing up for a multi-destination trip. I also enjoyed every location we visited.
