About this trip

You will be picked up from your hotel at between 8:00 am via a private A/C vehicle to Phnom Kulen National Park. This journey takes you through rural Cambodian villages, where you may observe locals going about their everyday lives and admire beautiful landscapes such as rice paddies and traditional dwellings. Stop at the most authentic village"Phum Preah Dak" where you can learn how the local people make palm cake and palm sugar.  Afterward, we continue to the hilltop of Phnom Kulen, and our knowledgeable local guide will take you to the most spectacular tourist attractions in the national park, including the largest and most beautiful waterfalls, the reclining Buddha sculpture, and the River of Thousand Linga, which was constructed in 802 AD. After all the crawling, we stop for lunch at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy Cambodian food.  After having a great lunch, then we'll go directly to the Kampong Phluk, flooded & fishing village of Tonle Sap lake, located just 21 kilometers from Siem Reap town.  Once in the lake port, we'll take a local boat from the ferry to explore the famous floating villages of Kampong Phluk. There, you can see firsthand what everyday life is like for the many families who make their living primarily from fishing. Most families live on the lake shore in brightly colored houses on long poles, so the high water levels are not a problem during the rainy season.  Explore the flooded mangrove forest surrounding the area, which is home to a variety of species, including crab-eating macaques and 3,000 inhabitants. We will then take you to visit a Buddhist monastery built on an artificial island. Enjoy seeing the sunset from a local boat on Tonle Sap Lake and transfer back to your hotel in Siem Reap.

We recently had the pleasure of visiting Kulen Mountains and Tonle Sap Lake in Cambodia, and the experience exceeded all my expectations, largely thanks to our incredible guide, Mr. Sam. His extensive knowledge of Cambodian history, culture, and traditions brought every site we visited to life. His ability to answer all our questions with enthusiasm and provide fascinating insights into local life was remarkable. If you’re planning a trip to Cambodia, we can’t recommend Mr. Sam highly enough—he turned a great trip into an extraordinary one!

Before we started our vacation, I browsed a lot about which tour company should I contract and, finally, after reading some really nice reviews, we contract ANSEAN ANGKOR GUIDE company. Before, we customized it in a very easy way (just chatting with Mr. Richard) our 3 days private tour, without any extra cost. Finally, after arriving in Siem Reap, our tour started. For that, we had a perfect guide, SAROUN, for whom I must register that we have no works to express how grateful we are with all his attention with us and how incredible he was explaining everything for us! The 3 days tour was more than perfect. We could visit so many temples with different histories, styles, times, religions and details. Saroun demonstrated a massive knowledge about the ancient history, culture and religion, and was really patient when explaining us all the details, and showing us some special spots. About the car and driver, I must inform that it was a really nice and luxury van (just for me and my wife) with a very responsible and attention driver. So, as a picky traveler, who really expect to not be disappointed when pay for a service, I must register how Ansean Angkor Guide team exceeded all expectations that we had. Thank you for providing us an unforgettable experience!

Davvero consigliatissimo.
