About this trip

As usual, great trip. Ice sculptures were exceptional. Gaylord at National Harbor was a delightful surprise. 

3 Day Christmas on The Potomac

Our driver, Orlando was excellent. He skillfully drove the bus through the snowy, rainy hills of PA to get us to Longwood Gardens and home again right on schedule. The food was wonderful at the Brandywine as was the company. 
Everyone had a great time visiting Longwood Gardens and the decor was beautiful. 
Trips with Gary's Fun on Wheels is always a super experience if traveling alone or with friends. 

A Longwood Gardens Christmas

My first time. It was spectacular. Our tour guide, Christine, our bus driver, Orlando, the lunch, and my seat mate, Linda made for a wonderful day !🎄

The show was spectacular.  The restaurant where we had lunch in Union City was excellent. Our bus driver and tour guides were great.   The only issue was that we had two different shows on the bus with different start and end times.  We had to wait 1 1/2 hours on the bus after our show to wait for next show to end.  However, I would still recommend for anyone who wants to go to New York for a Broadway show.

3 Day Salem Happy Hauntings Adventure

The trip was great and the show was fabulous, one of the best musical's I've ever seen.  However, one issue my friend and I had was that when we filled out the paperwork for the trip, we both put each others name down for the person traveling with us and we did not get tickets to sit together in the theatre, nor were we set to sit together on the bus.  We still had a great time, but would have preferred to be together.

Had a wonderful day! Daryl, Diane and Robert were fantastic, as usual. Nothing but a good time with Gary's Tours.          

Sunset Blvd

If there is going to be an extra pick up spot it should be from the Garden State Parkway.  The travel time was made longer since the bus was going thru many towns to make a pick up.  I would of like a Hotel closer to Salem given more time to sight see and less time traveling. Going as a group made it easier to see all the planned event.   I enjoyed the Witches and Gallows Hill Museum.  Bertucci's Italian Restaurant was superb.  The Lizzie Borden House was very interesting.  It was a good trip. 

Truly enjoyable day.  Everthing worked, we all had fun and enjoyed the show!!!

The Outsiders: Musical

We had a great time, all accommodations and attractions were excellent. Value for money was second to none, Only one negative observation, picking up a group from Matawan NJ added over an hour each way to the trip, which was tiring especially on the return trip. Our bus driver was amazing! Very patient, courteous, a real pleasure.  Looking forward to the next trip!!!

Daniel at Sight & Sound

We had great seats for OUR TOWN: orchestra center.  The bus driver did a great job navigating midtown Manhattan traffic and dropped us off very close to the theater.  Our only complaint was the venue for the lunch before the show.  When the person from Gary's called us to let us know that we secured a seat on the bus, he said we would be eating at Tony DiNapoli's Restaurant in Times Square.  Instead we went to a small storefront restaurant in Union City.  The food and service were good, but the bathroom facilities are limited.  In addition, we had eaten there on a previous Gary's bus trip, and we were looking forward to something different.

2 Day Villa Roma Resort a Tribute to the Bee Gees

Wonderful day in Amish country on Oct 14, a bit of a chill in the air but wonderful sunshine and fall colors. Dave was an excellent host and guide who had to accommodate to some unexpected snafus but did so beautifully, will recommend his travel service. 

Day in Amish Lancaster

I was not happy with this trip.  Because it was a holiday, the restaurant that we went to did not accept reservations and the line was around the side of the building, so we went downstairs to the shopping area and thought we would have an hour, but were called to come up for lunch in 1/2 hour.  The restaurant was huge with many rooms and it was a buffet style, total self serve. We were ushered into a banquet room they were not using.  The buffet section was in another room and overly crowded, many kids pushing their way and running around.  By the time one made their way through numerous buffet stations, it was difficult and quite frankly, a bit overwhelming.  The food was good, but the aggravation it took to get there was not worth it.  Plus the drink station in our area was not working.  Because of the crowds and rushing, I just grabbed what was available, but not what I really wanted.  Would have much more appreciated and paid for going to a nice sit down restaurant where one could relax and enjoy the lunch.

The rest of the trip was fine, liked the Bird in Hand Bakery, the shops we went to after were a bit high end for me.  My travel companion also thought we would be going somewhere to purchase Amish goods, but it was not where we went.

I have never given a poor review as I always love all of Gary's trips and will continue to go, however, this one was not my cup of tea.

This was a cousins trip and we all had a great time! Great stops along the way. Live the historic home in Westbury NY and the OHEK castle! Our tour guide for the Hamptons was fabulous! Great information. And of course Gary snd his brother Robert were equally fantastic!! 
The hotel was clean and the rooms very comfortable. We all appreciated being seated close to each other on the bus. 
We adopted another “cousin” to our group of 6 and enjoyed her company!  We are a fun and crazy bunch and she fit in perfectly!
This was my first Gary Fun on Wheels tour and it was great.! Will definitely utilize your tour group again as you have some wonderful destinations!!!

3 Day Hamptons Rich and Famous Tour & Montauk Lighthouse

We had a good time.   Carl was the best driver/tour director/bee killer!!!
The Show was good but the food and the desert bar were wonderful sooo good.    

One Slight Hitch

We had a great time met wonderful people the food was delicious but the check in process and our room accommodations were not good, the room we were staying in needs to be updated and the locks need to be replaced.

Longwood Gardens Festival of Fountains

We had a wonderful time. Great bus ride. Love the restaurant. And Longwood Gardens was a beautiful place to visit.

Despite the weather being a bit unfavorable (misting all day), the trip to see the Yankees was well organized.  Bus was clean and snack was appreciated.  Parking was close and a short walk to the entrance gate for the stadium.  The seats were in an awesome section (second level just past first base) and luckily there was an overhang above us to shield us from the mist.  I would definitely travel again via Gary's Tours to see the Yankees or even any other excursions!  I had a great time : )

New York Yankees vs Pittsburgh Pirates

This was our second trip with Gary’s tours & it was wonderful. The driver & escort were great! Lunch was delicious. The play The Outsiders was terrific. I definitely will use Gary’s Tours again. 

I always think as a businessman. Having said that I'm having a hard time figuring out how Gary made a profit on this. The Gaylord Hotel was truly first class and the rooms had to be very expensive. Add the meals and entertainment that were provided and you end up with quite a bargain.

Al was a great host and kept everything together. His Good Guy Drill Sargent personality was a great fit. Daryl was great behind the wheel and we had a smooth trip start to finish. The schedule for rest stops was just right for streching 

Graceland was something you will never forget but I enjoyed the Nashville's Broadway experience the best. They close the streets to traffic, and its party time. There must have been 10 live bands. 

Bus loads of Green Bay Packer fans traveled 1,100 miles to see their team destroy the Titans earlier that day. They took over Broadway in their Green and Yellow just to rub it in a little. Surprisingly there were no fights with the Titan fans. Those Southern's are very polite.

Compare that for the Yankees winning 20 to 0 at Fenway Park. Then thousands of Yankee fans drunkenly take over Faneuil Hall in their Yankee jersey's to celebrate.  The Boston Riot would have made headlines on Monday morning. We are clearly not as polite as  the people of Nashville.

This was a 5 Star Trip



8 Day Nashville & Memphis Music City Tour

Right from the start we knew we were going to have a great timely pick up and assistance

As usual CARL our bus driver was wonderful. I wish Carl could do a commentary during our bus ride. He is kind, personable. In fact one of the best bus drivers I have experienced on all my trips with the plethora of trips I’ve taken.
Gary you are very lucky to have Carl in your employ and he certainly deserves a raise. When we got out of theatre bus was literally a step away. Kudos to CARl

Great experience on my first trip with Gary. The call the day before to advise about parking and pick up was very helpful 
 Lunch was exceptional!  Robert kept us informed and your bus driver was also great. Other than the weather not being the greatest I had a great day! Can"t wait until my next trip.

Had a wonderful day! There was something for everyone at lunch. The drive was completely stress free (glad I could sit back and enjoy the ride instead of driving it) and the quaint little bakery was awesome. The shopping village also had an abundance of different shops offering a variety of items. Each stop also had some animals which my niece couldn't get enough of. Thank you Gary's Tours for another FUN ON WHEELS day! I appreciate what you do.  See you soon....     

We had a great time. Highlight of the trip was the Grand ole Opry, fabulous seats! Accommodations were great in Nashville and Memphis. We enjoyed all of the rest of the excursions. Could’ve used a little more time at Graceland.  But loved the whole trip. 

This was our first time on Gary's tours. Everyone on the bus highly recommended his trips from their previous experience. Our Coach driver, Carl was wonderful as the driver and very helpful with my Dad. Longwood Gardens is much better without the rain, but arrangements were made in April for this event. I drove an hour to the Brick Target, so had another hour ride home. Wish they picked up around my area. But I will book again as they have so many events planned. You pay per person and they take care of the rest!!

It was a very long day. A couple of things:

We did not get a bottle of water until 5:00 pm for our return trip home. Would be nice to get some water earlier in the trip.

The food was Ok - it was plentiful. Stopping at the Bakery after just finishing all the food and desserts at lunch, was not very appealing. I didn't buy anything (except a bottle of water - was so thirsty after lunch). Had we stopped at the bakery AFTER the Kitchen Kettle shopping, then I probably would have bought several bakery items to bring home.

The trip really didn't have much (anything?) to do with the "Amish". Might be better called "A day in Lancaster for Lunch and Shopping".

Carl the bus driver was TERRIFIC! He was so personable and friendly and helpful, and provided us with pertinent information. It was a pleasure having him as our driver.

Barbara, our tour guide, on the other hand was NOT very personable or friendly. She didn't really speak with anyone. She did what was needed - telling us where and what time to get back on the bus for each stop. That's about it. It was a very long ride home with rush hour traffic and all - would have been nice if she communicated with us somewhat during the ride back.

Absolutely loved this show!!!

Restaurant food was good, although the dessert was skimpy - when asked for a couple extra of the jelly cookies so each of the four of us at our table could have one, we were told "no" by the lady (owner?) - she said just the one dish of cookies per table.

Also - quite a long line for the one bathroom when a busload comes in (can be an issue if you urgently have to go - would have been better to use the restroom on the bus.)

All in all a very enjoyable day - again, LOVED the show!



Hell's Kitchen

Fun day , first time in Lancaster.  Bus driver was fantastic maneuvering the narrow roads there! Kudos to him for safety!  The Shady Maple buffet was delicious, the shopping village was fun, and the tour guide, Barbara was very sweet.  Will definitely book again as I enjoyed the trip and stops very much!  

This was my first trip to Lancaster and was disappointed in the experience. The Shady Maple buffet gets a lot of hype but I found the food to be nothing special. The meats were overcooked and the deserts were dull. We were taken to a bakery that did not offer Amish delicacies. The shopping area was “Amish owned” but did not offer Amish made goods or atmosphere. I really expected to experience Amish ambiance similar to what is seen in Philly’s Reading Terminal Market.
The bus was very nice but it was a long ride and not worth the experience.

The Temptations Revue Bus 1

Extremely disappointing. The food yes was in excess but nothing to write home about.
The stop at the bakery could have been eliminated yes you could buy bread if you chose to be a sardine and wait on line to pay. The last stop two of my friends didn’t bother even getting off the bus. We did not see Amish families. But how lucky I was able to take a photo with a straw  scarecrow..
To ride two and a half hours for a village that offered shops that were minimalistic was a waste of my time.
Barbara your guide was lacking personality and made this long ride boring. She should have put on a movie or talked to the passengers. I would never recommend this trip to anyone. However I have booked two more trips with you Gary and we will see. Everyone deserves three chances. By the way I booked Rockettes with you yesterday and saw this morning Garden State Getwsways is $10 less . I hope this review will add to you improving your business. Avriel

Great trip. great itinerary. Our escort Al was fantastic. Very caring and informative. Our driver Daryl was amazing. We felt very safe and secure. We do wish the bus was a little newer and roomier. 

Just completed another fabulous trip with Gary’s Fun on Wheels tour company to Memphis and Nashville. Needless to say it was loads of fun but what made it even more enjoyable were our guides, Big Al and his lovely wife Dianne. They kept us entertained, recommended the finer points of the tour, handled any and all problems, successfully fine tuned the itinerary as necessary and showed incredible patience while caring for over fifty guests. They are awesome! And let’s not forget our incredible bus driver, the D man, Darryl. His abilities to handle that bus along the highway in the rain and maneuvering through tight country roads are impressive. Kudos to all three of them, Al, Dianne and Darryl. They are the best!!! I highly recommend this group.

Trip was fantastic. The hotel was beautiful and the shows were very entertaining. We would definitely recommend this to everyone.

7 Day Myrtle Beach at Avista Beach Oceanfront Resort

Could not have asked for a better day!!!!!!!!!!!  From the comfortable, cordial bus ride, to the restaurant which is so very accommodating, onto the show Hell's Kitchen which was super and of course the efficient comfortable ride home .  Our guide John very pleasant and very watchful with a little humor - he was great! and of course our bus driver again very pleasant and cordial.  As i said couldn't ask for a better day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  We all enjoyed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a wonderful time. Diane was extremely friendly and helpful. Her husband Al was very knowledgeable. He had it all together and was very friendly. Al was also funny. The movies and the bingo games made the trip more pleasurable.  The Avista Hotel was a WOW!! THE shopping area  is very close. Every restaurant was fantastic. All the shows were terrific. Had a great time? It was my first trip with Gary. I thought everywhere we stayed and all that we saw was awesome.  Even though it was a long trip, Gary kept us busy and laughing. I will be traveling with him again for sure. 


Wonderful experience! Our first bus trip experience and can’t wait to do another. First time in Memphis and Nashville and we covered it all, Hotel accommodations were fantastic (2 five star resorts) tour guides and driver were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. 

We had a fantastic time and met great people.  Gary had everything planned for fun-filled days! Great memories!
