If no substitute can be found and you have made payments as per the payment plan, a partial refund (less the initial deposit) cannot be guaranteed unless there is another registrant to take your place.

Substitution of a participant- The organizer is not responsible for finding you a replacement roommate if you cancel: Thus,
Should you wish to have someone replace your spot because you need to cancel, YOU,
1. are solely responsible to continue to pay for the trip in We Travel, while getting re-imbursed personally by your substitute.
2. must provide Arlene, the organizer, with the person's name and contact whom is replacing you and Arlene will advise from there and see if the names may be changed in the We Travel platform.
3. To reiterate, you must make your own arrangements to be re-imbursed by the person replacing you and you must honour the payments owed for the trip directly. Should payments be late by you, the original purchaser, this booking (for your replacement) will be forfeited and offered up to someone on the wait list.
4. Given the above, it is strongly recommended to obtain travel insurance. Past participants said they were able to access this easily with a phone call to the insurance company of their choice. Also, given the current atmosphere of airports everywhere, it would be prudent to consider this expense.
Other fees
Please see what the trip includes and what it does not in the Pricing Section Below.
***travel insurance recommended- for any Covid or country/world emergency scenarios- this hotel does not refund - only reschedules and then organizer chooses a date where majority can still attend.***

How to Get to Amorgos
In the past, most guests have me at the port of Santorini, on the first day of the retreat start date, and we travel to Amorgos together. However, you may decide to do some sight seeing or come from another island in Greece. Here are the things to know.
Most Popular Options
Option 1:
Fly to Athens a few days before the retreat and take in the sights.
Book a flight from Athens to Santorini the day before your ferry to Amorgos and spend the night in Santorini. Have your hotel arrange a taxi take you to the Thira, Santorini port. Take the SuperJet Ferry with Arlene to the island of Amorgos. (90 minute ferry)
Option 2:
Fly to Santorini directly or via Athens and spend a few days in Santorini. Kamari Beach, Fira or Oia are wonderful places to stay. Have hotel arrange a taxi to bring you to the port on the day of your ferry ride and take the SuperJet ferry with with Arlene to the island of Amorgos. (90 minute ferry)
Other options:
Fly to Mykonos and spend a few days there. Check ferry schedule as there may not be daily ferries to Katapola or Aegiali, Amorgos or they may not be direct. You may arrive at either port in Amorgos, the organizer will collect this information from you and organize pick up.
Fly to Athens and take the overnight ferry from Piraeus port to Amorgos. This ferry is about 8-9 hours and usually overnight. You will either arrive at the Katapola or Aegiali port in Amorgos. Either option is fine and your organizer will let the hotel know so you may be picked up and brought to the hotel.
Please allow approximately 45 minutes to an hour to get to the port of Piraeus as it is not close to the airport or the city of Athens.
Note:
There are several ferry companies and apps that allow you to book ferries. The organizer recommends Ferryhopper as you can download the app to generate your e-tickets and track your ferries.
##Recommended- purchase the Flexi option on any flights or ferries that allow you to change flight departures etc.
The Cyclades islands are windy and sometimes though rarely, ferries or flights can be cancelled. With the flexi option, there is a re-assurance that you will not have to pay more for a new departure.
Other Ferry Schedules to search different options for ferry travel to the island.
3. Our arrival times will be relayed to the hotel staff whom will then arrange to pick us up from the ports on Amorgos and bring you to the hotel. If you are departing from Santorini, the arrival port in Amorgos is Katapola.
The event will start on the evening of the September 14th and finish on the evening of the 20th, allowing you to make travel plans for the following day. Again, all your departure plans will be share with the hotel so your transfer to the appropriate port will be noted.
Going Home After the Retreat
If you are flying directly home after the retreat, I recommend giving yourself one night's stay either in Santorini or Athens in order to not miss connecting flights.
Example:
Leave Amorgos Island on September 21st at approximately 130 pm
Arrive in Santorini approximately 3 pm.
Stay in Santorini or have a pre-arranged taxi take you to the airport for a flight back to Athens that you book later the same day.
It is not recommended to book a flight from Santorini to Athens within 1 hour of your ferry arriving to the port of Thira, Santorini. Ferries can sometimes be delayed. I recommend the 6 pm flights or later back to Athens.
Spend one night in Athens by the airport for next day departure. (Staying in Athens is a 45 minute drive from airport and may not be worth it depending on when your home flight is).
Holiday Inn or Tina's apartments are very affordable and close to the airport, offering free shuttle service to the airport

Pre-arranged Taxis
A great website to use is Welcome Pick Ups Athens. You can modify your transfer and leave notes for them. Welcome Pick Ups Santorini
Please let the organizer know if you'd like a personalized video call to discuss your travel and arrangement plans individually to make sure you are stress free!
Contact: arlene@openingintuition.com
The average minimum temperature (usually the minimum temperature is noted during the night) in Amorgos in September is 19.9°C (67.82°F). September is a dry month with an average of 6mm (0.2in) rain. It rains on average a total of 1 days. The average maximum daytime temperature lies around 24.7°C (76.46°F). The weather is still beautiful in September but avoids the high tourist season. This makes such a difference to the overall experience of Amorgos!
So what to wear in September? For visitors traveling to Amorgos we recommend wearing layers. So maybe a skirt, t-shirt, shorts for during the day and jeans and a warm jacket for some days and evenings. You will get a suggested packing list closer to the event!
Suggested Medications/Lotions to bring:
1. Acetaminophen/Ibuprofin
2. Allergy medication (for reactions to mosquito bites if applicable, mosquitos at night can be an issue if out on the town like anywhere in the world)
3. Anti-itch cream
4. Sun screen lotion
