The hikes we are doing are all easy to moderate level. You do not need to be an experienced hiker to participate in this tour. Comfortable hiking boots/shoes are the #1 priority and we suggest doing some physical activity in preparation for the hiking, such as hitting the stair-climber at the gym and/or seeking out some local hills to climb. We will be walking a fair amount each day on the walking tours also.
$1000 non-refundable deposit due at booking. The remainder is due in 5 monthly payments. Ask us about a modified payment plan to fit your budget; we are happy to make any accommodations as long as it's paid in full by March 11.
This price is for a double-occupancy room. If you are traveling alone, we will pair you with another Chica. There is an Add-On option for a single room for an additional $900.
Arrive the day before the trip begins to get acclimated to the time change and ensure that you don't miss any of the activities.
There are 2 single rooms available for those who prefer to have the solitude of their own room.
Arrive at the Athens airport before 10:00 am or arrive the day before. Arriving the day before will help give you more time to acclimate to the time change and ensure you are in Athens in time for our first day adventures! A private driver will meet you at the airport and transport you and your luggage to our Athens hotel where we will stay for the first two nights. All rooms are double occupancy unless you choose to pay extra for single occupancy.
The afternoon will begin with a tour of the Acropolis with our local guide, Alex. He will take us to Acropolis Rock (including the famous Parthenon), which is the symbol of Ancient Greece, and take us through the Acropolis Museum, sharing the highlights of ancient artifacts. Next, we will venture to Agora, where Alex will teach us about everyday life and customs in ancient Athens. Lastly, we will walk through the vibrant streets of Plaka and Monastiraki, the neighborhoods of the Gods.
We will finish out our first day with a Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant.
