Today we will explore :

Acropolis site, Acropolis Museum, and Ancient Greek Agora.  See spectacular views from the Acropolis and learn about its history on-site and at the museum. 

The Agora was the political and commercial center of the city, where democracy and philosophy were born. With this tour, you cover the history of the peak of Greek civilization (classical times). This is a four and a half hour walking tour.

Overnight in Athens

Day trip from Athens to Delphi. This is a full-day trip (around 9 hours).  Delphi is known as the center of the world and it was the most famous oracle of ancient times. You will see the ruins of Athena and Apollo sanctuaries, all the impressive dedications of the people, and hear interesting stories about the procedure of prophecies given. We will visit both the site and the museum and then we can enjoy lunch in one of the traditional tavernas before returning to Athens. 

Day trip from Athens to Argolida (Peloponnese). 

This is a full-day trip (around 9 hours). 

The first stop will be the impressive Corinth Canal. Then we head to Mycenae, the major city of the great Mycenaean civilization. You will see the famous lion gate, the kings' cemetery, the palace, and the findings in the museum. Next stop at the area of Epidavrus. This was the most popular healing center of ancient times related to the god Asclepius. You will see his temple, the stadium, the healing buildings, the items found during the excavations, and the spectacular ancient theater known for its great acoustics.  

From Epidavrus we will drive to Nemea, the place where Heracles overcame the Nemean Lion. We visit the temple of Zeus and the museum, you will learn about the myths of the area, the Nemean Games (important athletic games like the Olympics), and see the stadium. 

To end the day, we will visit a winery. Nemea has been famous for wine since ancient times. You will hear about the wine processing, and participate in a wine tasting. 

Half day from Athens to Sounio.  

We drive through the Athenian Riviera to reach the south cape of Attica. There on a cliff coming out of the sea is the Temple of Poseidon. The view from there is amazing. This is a four-hour tour.

Today we leave Athens for Santorini.  

Leave for the Airport at 5AM.  (Only take a carry-on bag and leave the bulk of your luggage in Athens)

Time: 9:30-4:30 We will check into the hotel and then either go for a walk on the beach, sit by the pool, or go scuba diving!

Scuba,  you do not need to be certified, they will put you through a course.  

Extra cost

At 5 PM, as a group, we will head to Oai-see the beautiful Blue Domes, have dinner, and enjoy the nightlife.
