Allow yourself the space to heal and recover from your own experience of disenfranchised grief, which is grief from a loss that is not acknowledged, validated or supported (loss of pregnancy, loss due to addiction/overdose, loss due to homicide, loss due to suicide, loss of a same-sex partner, etc.). On this 4-night/5-day retreat, you will experience gentle techniques and somatic self-love approaches in a supportive atmosphere. 

This retreat is a joint venture between Throwing Starfish LLC and Four Dimensions Wellness. 

Women who have experienced a loss, particularly a loss that has not been acknowledged, supported or validated. (Examples: pregnancy loss, loss due to suicide)

1. Loving environment with supportive staff, including a licensed grief counselor. (**Please note: No counseling/therapy will be provided at this event.)

2. Equine-human relationship experiences - you will work with horses on the ranch to help you connect to yourself (no riding involved)

3. Somatic experiences - you will learn how to integrate your body with your outer experience via movement and gentle touch

4. Creative experiences - you will learn how to express your grief via art and journaling

5. Group discussion

1. Private, luxury accommodations

2. Locally sourced and specially prepared meals prepared by one of the retreat co-hosts

3. Access to the retreat grounds, including a dipping pool, labryinth, walking paths, hot tub, cold plunge, lounging hammocks and more

Participant accepts and agrees that the 50% Deposit amount is non-refundable under any and all circumstances (see above for required insurance).  The 50% Deposit amount (or full amount) is transferrable to another person for the SAME retreat, not to another retreat date.  Deposit is 50% of the total retreat amount regardless if the full amount is paid at booking. 

Participant is eligible to receive a monetary refund LESS the 50% Deposit amount, if Participant cancels more than 90 days prior to the start date of the Retreat/Event. If Participant cancels less than 90 days prior to the start date of the Retreat/Event, Participant will NOT receive any form of monetary refund under any and all circumstances. It is the responsibility of the participant to know the exact date that is 90 days prior to the start date of the Retreat/Event.

If a refund is requested by the Participant, 90 days prior to the start date of the Retreat/Event, Throwing Starfish LLC reserves the right to 15 business days to evaluate the refund request and, if accepted, take all necessary steps to refund the amount, as stated above, to the Participant.

Note: It is required to purchase travel insurance that also covers the cost of your retreat so that you are covered for cancellation.

For virtual retreats/one day events/online courses/online workshops: all monies/donations paid are non-refundable under any and all circumstances.  They may be transferrable up to 72 hours prior to start date to another event or person.  Even if participant cannot attend the live event, participant understands that a recording of the event will be provided and constitutes attendance.

The submission of application and payment to Throwing Starfish LLC is binding. Participant is personally responsible for all mandatory payments.

1. Comfy clothes (yoga wear is suggested but not required for the somatic exercises)

2. Outerwear (Texas weather can be unpredictable!)

3. A bathing suit (for sauna, dipping pools, cold plunge)

The retreat venue is located on a working ranch in the middle of the Texas Hill Country. Due to the remoteness of the area, it is quite possible that you will not have access to the internet and cell service. Please plan accordingly.

"At Retreat Ranch, we embrace the natural, untouched beauty of our rustic ranch setting. While we aim to provide an authentic and serene experience for all our guests, we recognize that the unique characteristics of our working ranch may present certain limitations for guests with disabilities.

Due to the nature of our retreat center, we are currently unable to accommodate service animals. Our ranch is home to free-ranging animals, and for their safety as well as that of service animals, we cannot allow any outside pets or animals on the premises.

Our facilities, including guest accommodations and communal areas, are nestled in a landscape that celebrates its rustic roots, featuring uneven grounds and stair access. Consequently, we do not have ramps or elevators, and our bathrooms are not specifically designed for accessibility.

We wish to be transparent about the challenges that individuals with certain disabilities might face at our retreat center. The entire facility is not wheelchair accessible, and individuals with mobility impairments may find it difficult to navigate the uneven terrain and stairs."
