Join Erin & Annie on a week-long adventure to London, UK in 2025! You’ll kick off your journey by departing from a major metro city of your choice, whether it’s Seattle, WA, NYC, or another convenient location. After an overnight flight, you’ll touch down in London, UK, ready to dive into an experience like no other.

We’ll start by dropping off our luggage at the hotel, followed by a group meal to get to know each other and celebrate the start of our adventure. Afterward, we’ll explore some of London’s iconic sights before an early bedtime to help you adjust to the time change. The rest of the week will be packed with unforgettable experiences: a stroll down Bond Street, cheering on a local team at a football game, hands-on classes with SR Hair Society, and attending Salon International for a dose of top-tier education and inspiration.

Alternative Hair Show

In 1983 hairdresser Tony Rizzo and his wife Maggie lost their first-born child, Valentino, to leukaemia at the tender age of 2 years and 7 months. They decided to hit back at this vicious disease in the best way they knew by engaging their many friends and colleagues in hairdressing worldwide in an entirely new and audacious charity fund raising event.

The Alternative Hair Show was first staged at London’s Camden Theatre in October 1983. The Show was a huge success raising an enormous £7,500, which was immediately donated to Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research the UK’s leading blood cancer research charity. The Alternative Hair Show was born!

At The Hair Nerds, we’re committed to providing a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for everyone on our Hairventures. To ensure a positive environment, we ask all participants to adhere to the following guidelines:

1. Respectful Behavior: We expect all participants to treat each other, our hosts, educators, and anyone we encounter during our travels with respect and kindness. Discrimination, harassment, or any form of disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and could result in removal of trip & activities or asked to leave the visiting country and return back to your home country.

2. Punctuality: Please be on time for all scheduled activities and meetings. This helps us maintain the flow of the trip and ensures that everyone gets the most out of the experience.

3. Safety First: Your safety is a HUGE priority to us. To ease our minds—and yours—everyone will receive an Apple AirTag upon landing at our destination. We ask that you keep this AirTag on your person at all times. Whether you miss a train stop, get lost in a crowd, or just want to venture off and explore, the AirTag will help us ensure we can find you—just in case! Please note that AirTags are not pin-point accurate, but they’re a helpful tool for added security. At the end of the trip, we will collect them back before heading home to the US.

4. Follow Local Laws and Customs: We ask that you respect the laws, customs, and cultural norms of the destination we are visiting. This not only ensures your safety but also helps us make a positive impression as visitors.

5. Participation: Participation of any and all activities are not mandatory and up to the participant to choose to be a part of - if you decide to not attend an included activity, please contact your trip hosts to let them know you will not be attending.
