Today, we go back in time to explore some majestic monuments built in 1820, way before the era of technology. 

Citadelle Laferrière was built to protect the newly independent nation from a possible attack from the French. It is a UNESCO's World Heritage Site. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Haiti.

The Palais Sans Souci, in Milot, was the royal residence of King Henri Christophe and his wife, Marie-Louise. The palace was once considered the "Versailles of the Caribbean".

We'll take a horseback ride to uphill trek to the Citadelle then ride to Palais Sans Souci.

We will tour the city after lunch.

Our local guide will take us through various neighborhoods in Cap Haitien.

We will stop by a local air bob and assist with lunch  (typical Cap Haitien food).

Afternoon visit with to a local women artisan workshop.
Learn how the women created the business that supports them and their community.

Make your own craft!
