About this trip

In this experience, we will take you to live this sport in a unique place near the city.

This will allow you to live the adventure and feel the adrenaline in a safe way.

We will go to a place near the city so you can try sport climbing, this means that the protection is fixed on the rock and the rope will go through a pulley at the end of the route, so the risk is minimal.

We have all the safety equipment that we check after each tour and change after its useful life.

We have practiced this sport for many years recreationally and professionally.

You will be accompanied by guides trained and certified in first aid in remote areas, who will also have a satellite communication device in case of emergencies.

This activity will allow you to reach the top of the wall and enjoy incredible views.

What makes this sport unique is the combination of physical and psychological challenges, plus the connection that is generated with your teammates, making this experience a very good option if you have a day off in Santiago.

I love snowshoeing and was very excited at the possibility of snowshoeing in August in the Andes during my trip to Chile! When I contacted Ecordua, Joaquin was very responsive, answering all my questions promptly and making suggestions for possible trips. I greatly appreciated his help in planning this (and one other) trip during my stay in Santiago. Both Joaquin and his wife came on this trip and I really enjoyed my time with them. We drove about 2 hours from Santiago. While I'm used to snowshoeing through forests this involved a lot of climbing at high altitude which I am not used to. But Joaquin kept a pace that worked for me. The views were beautiful and I really enjoyed the trip. If you like snowshoeing, or want to try something new, I definitely recommend this trip!

This was the perfect trip for my first day in Santiago. After an overnight flight I wanted something active to help stay awake and Joaquin suggested an afternoon half day hike outside Santiago. It was a great hike with beautiful views to the city. And afterwards Joaquin provided a snack of wine, fruit, and cheese-- a lovely start to my trip! Not only was Joaquin great company but it was a pleasure working with him. He was very responsive, listened to what I said I was looking for and then made suggestions. I very much appreciated that. I highly recommend this trip!

Had a beautiful half day hike up Cerro Manquehue with Joaquin, who is really a delightful guy. The trail is not always easy to follow, so I was very glad we had a guide. We had gone up the back side of the mountain because the front is where most people hike in from, so we had very few other hikers on our path. We managed to see a herd of goats running across the path, which we were not expecting at all but it was so fun to see!

We had an amazing time, Omar and Theresa were both lovely and attentive. The horses are well looked after and have a great stomping ground! We rode through the field where horses, mules and donkeys from multiple farms were out which was lovely. Good views from the foothills of the Andes too over the mountains and city. We finished off with a bottle of wine and lunch outside the stables and chatted for a long time. Would highly recommend, very personal experience, they made you feel like part of the family for the day, not “just tourists”. We also booked last minute (the day before) which is very good service to be able to accommodate us.
