It was a wonderfully delightful experience, even though I was travelling companionless.  Our laid-back, humorous group leader Ron made everyone feel like family.  The planned events, excursions, meals and accommodations were all top-notch.  Of course, traveling during the holiday season made everything seem even more spectacular!  Looking forward to more in '24!!

Lancaster Featuring Sight & Sound's Miracle of Christmas

This trip was our first of its kind.  Our tour guide and bus driver were excellent.  We enjoyed the Sight and Sound Miracle of Christmas.  Not so much the Margaritaville Show.  Pretzel Factory was great and we enjoyed taking the back roads into the Amish Countryside.  We could have used more time at the Kitchen Kettle for shopping.  Thanks for your efforts to make this an enjoyable experience.

Loved Martha's Vineyard!  This was definitely the highlight of the trip.  We had a local bus tour with a great narrator/driver who recommended a fabulous waterfront restaurant.   In our free time, we hiked to the lighthouse and climbed it and came back to enjoy the best of four lobster rolls we had during "on your own" mealtimes.   We also thoroughly enjoyed beautiful Plymouth Harbor.  We saw the rock and toured the Mayflower in the free time we had there.   I had not known about the Cape Cod canal and enjoyed learning about it during our stop there.   The boat tour of Hyannis was very interesting. We rode through beautiful Sandwich.  I would have loved a stop where we could have gone to the oldest house, visited the mill, and perhaps the glass museum.   All those (or a trip to Nantucket) would have been better than our day in Boston.  I liked what we did but we were mostly on the bus.  It is a two hour ride from the hotel to Boston and another two back.  Plus we rode around Boston on the bus.  We had little time to see the sights except for a nice visit to the USS Constitution and a brief walk for exterior views of the Old North Church and of Paul Revere's house.  Local guide was great in Boston.   
In general, four days on the bus for three days of sightseeing would never be my choice again.  The hotel left a lot to be desired.   But I can check beautiful Cape Cod off my bucket list!

We had fun and met some nice people. Food was great. Ronny was a great guide. I wish we had more leg room on the bus but we stopped every 2.5 hours or so for a break.

Niagara Falls was beautiful. Seeing the beauty of God's creation was amazing.  Enjoyed the boat ride through the falls and also the Aerocar over the whirlpools. Getting to see a cruise ship go through the Weiland Canal Locks was very exciting to watch too.
The tour guide was excellent and very informative. and we enjoyed meeting new people,

However, we were a little disappointed with the accomodations in Canada. The hotel itself needs to be completely updated and because of this, the room  gave the appearance of being dingy and dirty, We didn't feel completely comfortable the nights we stayed there. Add to the fact that there wasn't  any refrigerator, microwave, or coffee maker in several of the rooms including ours. My husband is a diabetic and fortunately, his insulin didn't need to be refrigerated.  The breakfast at IHOP was great

It was our first bus trip and plan to do another one sometime.

Niagara Falls Summer 2023

We had a fantastic time! Great group of people on our bus! The food was good. Our tour guide was good. Overall, a wonderful experience.  Educational travel ( Holly and Ron) were exceptional.

The  trip to see Niagara Falls was enjoyable. I would have preferred to stay in Niagara Falls the second day rather than traveling to Toronto.   The guide for the Canada side was not on top of things. There was alot of time between activities with nothing concrete to see or do.  We were told to eat in the World Market with not any directions or suggestions on where to go, etc.  She was not able to lead us, etc.  Our guide Elinor, with Educational Tours was great and  was with us every step of the way.  We had a lovely and diverse group of people on the bus.

We had a wonderful time.  Exquisite scenery and some extra interesting events.  Loved "Niagara on the Lake" fantastic floral arrangements everywhere, and great boat rides around Niagara Falls and Toronto.  Travel Guides and accommodations performed well.

Great time, good food, nice accommodations. Pretty organized. The bus driver was a great driver!
The only negative comment I have is the toilet on the bus was not sanitary. It wouldn’t flush. There was waste in it, and I mentioned it to the bus driver several times and there was no response. I said something to our tour guide, who apparently said something to the bus driver. All the toilet paper was out of the toilet, but there was still leftover poop 
On the side of the bowl. It was like going to the bathroom in an outhouse. Several other people complained of a foul odor coming from the bathroom.

Our bus trip to New York City was quiet and uneventful as far as the ride itself was concerned. My daughter was able to nap and my granddaughter did seem a little bored. We did have a video on the ride up to NYC; ELF, I actually had never seen. My husband and I were fine as always; the seats were very comfortable and fairly roomy and the temp in the bus was comfortable.  Holly Foubister of Educational Travel Service had opportunities for all travelers and information for dining and extra activities as well with maps too.  Our accommodations at the Edison were quite nice and the beds comfortable too.  We loved the Rockettes and the play we chose was Funny Girl. I was disappointed to know at the last moment that Lea Michele wouldn't be starring; apparently that was her break day; the actress we saw was awesome though. My family enjoyed the warmer weather for several days walking to the zoo, trying to do the Today show, seeing the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree and just wandering around Times Square. My only complaint this time was it was even more crowded than when we visited in December 2019 so we missed a few sites. We took the subway from 50th Street to the 911 Museum/Memorial and it was pretty nice; clean, no disruptive behaviors, fast and inexpensive. It did seem to cost more to travel by bus, etc than our previous visit. Had several good meals and visited Bryant Park and watched the skaters and shopped the little shops there. The return was very good as well, quiet and uneventful with games to pass the time. On only our last stop to have a bite to eat were we lacking and Holly apologized for her dropping the meal spot.  All in all a great trip was had by us and everyone we chatted with. We love traveling with Educational Travel Service whether with Holly or her Dad, Ron.

This trip to NYC at Christmas far exceeded my expectations. It was the perfect amount of structure. I didn't have to think about travel or hotel accommodations or getting tickets to the Rockettes or Moulin Rogue. It was all done for us! And we had ample unstructured time to explore NYC and to do things we wanted to do. This is a trip that will provide lasting memories for me and my daughter. I highly recommend this trip! I hope to do this trip again in the future with my husband.

I am so glad our friends, regular clients of Educational Travel Service, asked us to accompany them on this great trip.
I could check three long overdue items off my bucket list:   seeing a Broadway play, seeing the Rockettes, and seeing the decorations and tree at Rockefeller Center.    Holly, our tour leader, did a great job leading us to the shows and back for those of us who wanted that service.   The group was congenial and the children who were with the group could not have been nicer or better behaved.    The hotel room was spacious by New York City standards and its location was prime, one half block off Times Square.  This trip is a good value and a good time.   Only thing that could have made the trip even better would have been a more comfortable bus.   The seats were quite crowded and lacked legroom, even for a short person.    I look forward to another trip with Educational Travel Service.
