About this trip

This resort is right by the Andes and the view is spectacular. The lofts are very comfy and the staff is incredibly helpful. I loved my stay here and can't wait to visit again. Also keep an eye out for Peri the Spanish greyhound. She is a very good girl. The best girl.

We had an amazing experience. The place is beautiful; the food, delicious; the staff really nice. The owner (Felipe) and his assistants make you feel very comfortable and have fun at the same time.

I absolutely recommend this place if you like to be surrounded by nature, taste marvelous food and wine, and sleep in really comfortable and beautiful lofts where you can see the sky full of stars.

Nice barbecue on parrilla.
We had a bad time with the Lofts. 1st day in a Loft without water e heating, -9oC. It was terrible!!! Worst night in life! And crew had information about the problems in this Loft., that was not fair charging that night. Next day, changed our Loft, now with heating and water. 1 day good, next day without hot water (only our loft). The other day, we leaved the Hotel.

The view at Hotel Cielo is spectacular, and the cold morning views of the mountains are special, but what they don't tell you about is the 24km of terrible bumpy rock roads to get to this remote location when the pavement ends.  Gravel roads would be ok, but it is huge rocks that beat the crap out of our car.  A truck is necessary to get here, and it is 45 minutes to 1.5 hour drive to everything.  So after 6 days of being on these terrible roads every day, it was too much.  Maybe 2 days or 3 days max.  no more.

the breakfast is horrendous, and after so many bad reviews of the breakfast by others, this place has made no attempt to improve it.  So much effort is made to cut an apple and peach so thinly that a single apple is given to 20 people.  We had to ask for extra each and every day cause they really didn't want to feed you any reasonable amount of food.  Shocking for a hotel so pricy.

I recently stayed at Hotel de Cielo from March 11 to March 15 and I have to say that everything was perfect.
The hotel was amazing and modern, which set the tone for my entire stay.
Special thanks to Marcos who was always willing to assist with any requests I had. 
Overall it was an incredible experience.

An excellent little place to hide from the maddening crowds. The private cabins are well designed and are extremely comfortable. Given that they are glass fronted with a one-way mirroring, they guarantee the best view one could wish for every morning. Staff are super friendly and the central dining table is a good way to get the hotel guests to at least be friendly and socialise for a meal. For those looking for more introverted experiences, dinner is not mandatory! A good place to recharge as it is in the middle of nowhere leaving you without light or sound pollution, gazing at the Andean sunset every night.

It was an incredible experience for us two. The quiet and peaceful atmosphere was amazing. The landscape was astonishing and all the hotel facilities were perfect fine.

Amazing destination with breathtaking views from every loft. I recommend eating dinner at the hotel because the chef is very good and comparable to good restaurants 1 hr away. If you don't have your own car and want to visit outside restaurants and wineries, then hiring a driver is a necessity but expensive.  The hotel staff are super nice and accommodating. They make you feel like family there. We enjoyed our stay!!
