About this trip

Iceland’s 30 plus active volcanoes and gorgeous glaciers lend it the nickname “The Land of Fire and Ice.” An underpopulated island marooned near the top of the globe, Iceland is literally a country in the making. It’s a vast volcanic laboratory where mighty forces shape the earth: geysers gush, mudpots gloop, ice-covered volcanoes rumble and glaciers cut great pathways through the mountains.

Its supercharged splendor seems designed to remind visitors of their utter insignificance in the greater scheme of things. This trip will leave you in awe at the unparalleled beauty that is Iceland!

Lapland was a once in a lifetime "bucket list" trip, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Sandy, our guide, was absolutely delightful and I appreciated having everything planned for me so I could just enjoy the experience. Thank you Sandy and Globe Drifters for an excellent trip! Linda

It was a winter wonderland of fun! The Wilderness Lodge and it's staff were just amazing. They were very knowledgeable and very helpful . I thoroughly enjoyed this trip and would recommend this trip.

The trip was great. We were able to visit many interesting sites and return to our home hotel every night. We were able to frequent local establishments and get to know the area. This trip was such a pleasure for us. No packing bags at midnight for early departure to another area, one night stands, etc. We saw and learned so much about the Andalusia area of Spain that I don’t feel we missed anything. The trip was definitely a 5 star. Globe Drifters was a wonderful company to work with. No hassles, no pressure.

Great trip, Sandy the guide, is a seasoned, well travelled, expert and engaging guide. Seville is a lovely place to staycation and the hotel was unique and beautiful.

Lapland itself was exceptional! Very much enjoyed the igloo cabins & included activities. The food served during the buffet meals wasn’t the best. For me, too much fatty foods, too much butter, too much fried foods… Came hungry, left hungry. Same foods served. Globe-Drifters guide wasn’t very good/effective. This was her 1st time ever in Lapland. She didn’t provide much info, couldn’t answer many questions asked of her, she’d give misinformation. She was more of a fellow traveler than guide. A good person but not a good guide for this trip.
