Our Iceland tour was 9 days, including travel on both ends. It was just long enough to see much of what this amazing country offers in the way of spectacular scenery, top flight food, and fun hiking adventures. This tour was for travelers who enjoy packing in plenty of activities, as opposed to having a beach vacation. We were on the move every day, taking in so much of Iceland's culture and natural beauty (and hot springs!). What a gift it was having all of our travel arrangements taken care of so we could relax and take it all in. We chose this tour because of a previous experience with our tour guide, Debbie Clarke, and because we feel strongly about being good citizen travelers. Debbie arranged several experiences for our group of 15 with Icelanders who generously shared their history and culture with us. We visited artisan studios, small businesses, restaurants, and community centers where Icelanders demonstrated the highest levels of creativity, compassion and accomplishment. We were lucky to witness two nights on Snaefellsness Peninsula during very high northern lights activity. That was an unexpected and mind-blowing experience. This was an altogether blast of a trip, and I'd recommend a Good Travel Idyllic Iceland tour without reservation.

Debbie was an incredible guide, and I really appreciated the attention to local and indigenous people and interests. It was clear that activities that prioritize conservation, local communities, and social and environmental responsibility were carefully selected as our main group activities and additional options. The food was excellent, our drivers were fabulous, and both Debbie and Emily were absolutely lovely.

This trip was extremely well planned and carried out. Events were educational and informative as well as fun and trip leader Debbie Clark was amazing. A wealth of knowledge and experience; we were lucky to have her along! I also appreciated all the help and assistance around each scheduled event and how seamless they made travel. I would do another trip with GOOD Travel!

It was a wonderful trip. New Zealand is a beautiful country and nice people. The schedule got a little hectic with some one night hotel stops. For an overview of New. Ealand it worked really well. The stops were fun and interesting from the motor coach.

I was in New zealand for 10 days in March 2024 traveling our way from Aukland to Queenstown. We covered a lot of territory from the north to the South island, but never felt rushed. In awe of the stunning countrysides, natural beauty, and varied landscape...we learned about the Kiwi's efforts to preserve the native bush, explored the geysers in Rotorua, landed a helicopter on the icy Isabelle glacier, discovered breathtaking sights of snow-capped mountains and the epic Milford sound, and had the honor of attending a Maori dinner and performance (my favorite part of the trip) that culminated with experiencing all cultures as one! Even though every day of this trip was an exquisite adventure, it would not have been as wonderful without our guides, Debbie and Emily! They were knowledgeable, helpful, entertaining, and above all warm and friendly - we couldn't have asked for anyone better, thank you so much!!! The country of New Zealand broadened my horizons and the new friends I met brought so much joy...what I privilege to embark on such a trip! Vanessa G.
