Imbolc (pronounced IM-bolg or IM-bolk) is Old Irish for “in the belly.” It’s also known as Oimelc, Lady Day, and, in Christianity, Candlemas or St. Brigid’s Day. Traditionally, Imbolc represents the beginning of spring and the time when the first lambs are born. Brigid, known as the Fertility Goddess is a triple Goddess, representing Hearth, Art and Fire.
The divine spark that was born in midwinter is growing, and nature is beginning to wake up. Remember the intentions for the new year you made? Now is the time to clear the way for them to grow, symbolically, and maybe literally!
In honor of this Celtic Holiday we will be spending the afternoon journeying with John Murphy and creating with LeeAnn Love.
LeeAnn Love, a Tennessee native, has been a visual artist from as young she could hold a pencil. As an artist, art therapist, and art educator, she has dedicated her life to storytelling and meaning making through the arts. LeeAnn received her Master’s Degree in Expressive Therapies from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA in 2007. In 2013, LeeAnn created Heal with heART, her art therapy private practice, as well founded MyCanvas in 2014, a mobile youth community art therapy program, which served at-risk youth in the greater Nashville area. Additionally, LeeAnn has taught and currently supervises new art therapists, to continue to shape and impart knowledge to upcoming arts leaders and therapists.
In 2023, LeeAnn took a life altering four-month pilgrimage to Scotland, the land of her ancestors, to heal her heart and further her studies in Celtic history, ancestral healing, and Celtic shamanic practices. LeeAnn's work is evolving into a practitioner of integration: sharing healing through somatic practices, earth based traditional ways, ecotherapies, elemental ceremony, artmaking, writing, and shamanic principles. Additionally, LeeAnn continues to create vibrant, expressive landscapes, capturing the spirit of the place and time. You can find her work at @leeannlovestudio on Instagram and www.leeannlove.com.

We will be sharing in a 30 minute Shamanic Journey, that will take us to a specific time or place of interest in our past, or provide us with the opportunity to have an interaction, or share in an invitation from one of our Spirit or Animal Guides.
After the Journey, LeeAnn Love will lead us on a creative path where we can express those elements that came through he strongest for us during our journey time.
