After a hearty breakfast, the long-awaited expedition to Machu Picchu begins. A one-hour and a half ride by train, followed by half an hour ride by bus, to arrive at the citadel for a guided visit that lasts three-hours on average. Enjoy stunning views, and learn about the Andean living and traditions, as you travel back in time.

 In the evening, head back to Aguas Calientes for lunch. 

Afterwards, board the train to Ollantaytambo, where a private ride will pick you up to take you back to your hotel in the Sacred Valley.

In the company of your guide, you will take a semi-challenging 3-hour hike to an impressive, secluded waterfall over 80 meters tall. It is allowed (and advised) to wear a bathing suit to take a refreshing bath under the waterfall. 

Pachamanca & immersive experience at Patacancha Community 

You will visit the Patacancha community, located 30 minutes away from Ollantaytambo to taste the roots of Andean culture by trying pachamanca: a meal cooked in an underground stone oven. While food continues to cook, you can enjoy the beautiful landscapes and learn about the textile techniques and traditions with the Melo family. Then, you’ll witness the unearthing of the food and enjoy a lunch surrounded by nature and beautiful views. The Pachamanca is led by cooks from the community with perfect ingredients for an unbeatable experience. 

In the company of your private guide, visit San Pedro Market—the heart of Cusco cuisine—to delve into the wonder of Andean products and even taste some of them: tamales, chicharrones, native fruits, cheese, and bread, among other flavors. Then, sift among the main attractions of Cusco city, such as the Main Square and the opulent Qorikancha Temple and the artistic neighborhood of San Blas to access the secrets only available to locals. By the end of this tour, your private vehicle will drive you to the city's outskirts to bear witness to the megalithic Inca fortress of Sacsayhuamán.

Dinner at Cicciolina restaurant

For dinner, enjoy a 3-course meal at a restaurant that is famous for   its innovative approach to traditional Andean cuisine by combining it with   international techniques.
