Highlights: Irish Whiskey Museum / Pearse Lyons Distillery / Guinness St James Gate / Locals Pub Tour
Arrive at DUB: Let’s hit the ground running! Arriving after an overnight flight can be thirsty work, but we have an amazing day lined up.
We can’t think of a better way to begin your adventure than the Irish Whiskey Museum. Situated near the iconic Trinity College, the museum offers a captivating exploration of the history of Irish whiskey, from its origins to its tumultuous history and spirited revival—a perspective not always provided at a single distillery.
After this, we’ll have a little free time to explore Trinity College and the Book of Kells or take a stroll in search of a cozy cafe.
Afternoon: We visit The Liberties area and Pearse Lyons Distillery. As you might expect from a distillery in a restored church and graveyard, it has a very unique story. The church and graveyard offer a distinctive backdrop for learning from a distillery that gave a fresh new perspective on the fine art of whiskey making.
The final stop as we transition from day to night will be visiting the Guinness Storehouse, a pilgrimage site for beer enthusiasts. This brewery visit is like no other, revealing the journey of Guinness across seven floors, from the brewing essentials to its global legacy, culminating at the Gravity Bar. Here, enjoy a complimentary pint of Guinness while taking in the panoramic views of Dublin, a fitting end to a day steeped in the rich flavors and history of Irish whiskey and beer.
Lodging: The Green Hotel, Dublin (1-night Stay)
Evening: You’ll have a few hours to recharge and find a spot for dinner before you hit the town...if you're up for it.
In the evening, we will have the option of a pub tour that will take you away from the touristy-centric area and into the real Dublin.
