We have chosen The Roccone as our handpicked special location to lead us on a journey through culture, nature, flavor and flow. The Roccone is the name of the rock bluff upon which stands a legacy family farmhouse, overlooking a lush valley for over one and a half centuries. This farmhouse will be our home and our refuge for the week-long retreat. This sprawling 130-hectare property is located in the middle of the Pigelleto Nature Reserve, in the province of Siena. It is one of the wildest and quietest places in Tuscany.
In this area, nature can be thoroughly enjoyed in every season, we will enjoy mindful forest walks (“forest bathing,” as the owners refer to it!) to get rid of stress, the outdoor ecological wooden hot tub, to practice yoga on an outdoor platform overlooking the valley, to local hot spring spas, to tasting local wines and delicacies with a private chef and visit local vintners. The Roccone is close to some of the most important Tuscan cultural sites.
Lauren and Molly chose this location based on the wonderful reputation and incredible hosts who are as excited to host us as we are to visit them. But this is more than a mere visit: we will be immersed in the magic of their home, culture, landscape, food, and wine.
The farmhouse is dedicated to the American naturalist, poet and philosopher Henry David Thoreau.
Each and every detail of the retreat has been given great consideration and attention. Imagine starting your day with a nature walk, with some of the best coffee in the world in your hand, or watching the sunrise over the hills of Tuscany while practicing yoga with freedom and ease, all while looking forward to the adventure of the day ahead.
We look forward to welcoming and journeying with you! Ciao!
