Just concluded a multiday tour with Saba Tours. I chose this company for a private tour for my family of 5 because of Mohamed Ibrahim’s (MI) speciallzation in the use of high technology in the construction of the ancient monuments. However I was pleasantly surprised by how amazingly well the whole experience was crafted. From the moment we landed in Cairo, we did not need to lift a finger… everything was taken care of well and efficiently. We just had to get ready and enjoy the experience. Sami was very easy to communicate with and coordinated everything superbly. the whole family came down with a viral illness and several member had to miss out on some excursions but they accomodated our needs very well. The had another staff member Omar dedicated to making the airport experience as easy as possible. Giza: MI was our guide for the first two days in Giza and Sakkara and as expected he was an excellent guide. His love for this information was infectious. He walked us through many areas with evidence of the use of high technolgies. Our accomodation was at HIlton Pyramids Gold which was great. Nile Cruise: This was the surprise. The cruise boat they had us on was very luxurious, very comfortable rooms and the staff was there to help with everything and the staff looked genuinely happy to do so. The food on the cruise was exceptional and breakfast lunch and dinner were included. Cruise ships are often docked next to each other, 4-5 at a time so you sometimes have to walk through 2-3 ships lobbies to get to your own. We often felt like we walked through Motel 6 and Econolodge lobbies to walk into our own 4 star hotel. the amenities like laundry were surprisingly cheap and well done. Excursions: Sami had arranged another guide for the nile cruise who was also excellent and our excursions were well planned and executed. you can check out the guide’s own TripAdvisor page at Ahmed Nady Tours. Highly recommend him as well. Restaurants: the restaurants they took us to for lunch were all excellent and of different types from Egyptian BBQ to had homecooked meal in Sakkara to an old city restaurant in the Old Cairo. Overall the expefience was phenomenal. Egypt is not and easy and relaxing place to visit. It is quite demanding both physically and intellectually. But Saba Tour’s attention to detail, flawless logistics and the length they went to to make it easy for us made the whole experience all the more pleasurable. Recommend 100% and will use them again.
