Had a very successful Everest Base Camp trek and Island Peak climb. We were very lucky and all went as smooth as could be. Helpful, communicative, and successful. Thank you, Marvel Adventures!

We actually did the 3 day trek which turned into 2 days due to canceled flight to Pokhara. Nothing went as planned but the tour manager was very helpful. Our sherpa did not speak very well English so some things were difficult to understand and the sense of time was not the best. Our flights from Kathmuanda got delayed both times. Our driver the getting to Pokhara took 9 hours which delayed the start of our trip. The tour company again worked with us and made changes but sometimes changes were hard and we had to ask multiple times. Overall, good experience in a 3rd world country but we both got sick and wish when we were told 5 minutes - the sherpa actually meant 5 minutes!

Marvel Adventures was amazing at arranging my dream trip in the Himalayas. Took a group trek along the Manaslu Cirsuit/Tsum Valley for 19 days in November. Due to a flight cancellation, I arrived to Katmandu 48 hours late. Nir, the owner of Marvel Adventures, was instrumental in arranging for me to get to the trailhead by private jeep just in time to start the trek. Nir even met me at the airport, suppli3d me with and down jacket & sleeping bag and dropped me off. Now that's service! He assured me that everything would be fine and made good on his promises. He was very communicative, responsive and understanding. Nir ensured that my trek to Nepal was the trip of a lifetime. Will not hesitate to book with this local Katmandu company again because of their impeccable customer service. Anyone looking for a dream trek in Nepal should look no further than Marvel Adventure!

April 1, 2023 - My daughter and I just completed an Everest base Camp Trek booked with Marvel Adventure, a Nepal based company. Let me say that overall this organizations performance and its owner, Nir Kirki, exceeded our every expectation and should we travel back to Nepal, we would contact Marvel exclusively. We paid for a trip that included all in Nepal transportation, lodging and food along the trek, a Guide and Porter. Everest Base Camp Trek is a life-time peak experience and I've trekked all over the US, Canada, Alaska, the Argentinean and Chilean Patagonia, The Alps, and Kilimanjaro, and visited Antarctica. We were met at the airport by Nir and transported to our hotel, which we booked separately. Later that day after we refreshed from our roughly 25 hrs travel from the USA, Nir and our Sherpa guide met us at our hotel to get acquainted and review logistics. The next morning our Sperpa, Phinjo, picked us up to head to the airport to fly to Lukla - our starting and ending point. One thing all travelers should understand about local flights from Katmandu to high mountain trekking starting points, such as Lukla, is that the weather is extremely variable and flights are often cancelled. This can result in not arriving to start one's trek, or get back to Katmandu after trekking on the pre-determined schedule. So, one should consider scheduling flights in and of Katmandu with extra time. This was the case for us as after arriving at the airport, all carriers cancelled all flights that day serving Lukla. Not wanting to chance several days of weather delays, Phinjo worked with others to negotiate helicopter transport to Lukla for us, should weather openings be observed. We did get to Lukla, albeit this was an extra expense and we were happy to make payment to get out to Lukla to begin our trek on schedule. Weather delays cannot be the responsibility of the trekking agency only working through them, which Marvel did to our satisfaction. The trek was marvelous. Phinjo our guide spoke excellent English. He provided splendid information about Nepalese culture and the mountains as we trekked, paced us as we acclimatized to high altitude and monitored our condition through conversation and pulse/oxygen testing, and discussed every detail of daily activity. As one finds our there are more Tea Houses than imaginable for trekkers in Nepal to lodge in. The accommodations have wide variability! Phinjo stressed the Tea Houses he was choosing had fresh food, clean kitchens, and as clean as can be expected conditions - and kind of western toilets. While my daughter like spicy foods and ate "Sherpa specialities", my taste buds don't like spicey foods, garlic and curry. Phinjo was in every kitchen making sure my food was prepared bland - a great relief. Our porter, Kilo, was a very nice 24 year old kid and we all played cards every evening. The trekking and scenery were magnificent! Be physically ready for daily 600-800 meter ups and downs as the valleys are deep and passes high. There is NO level ground. Less than 300 meter ups and downs all day, every day, are called Himalayan flat. Cold winds pick up every afternoon. Bring warmer clothing than you think! Don't drink any un-boiled or un-filtered water. Our Sherpa used my Kataydin Filter to fill our several liter bottles 2-3 times daily. At the conclusion of our trek and flying back to Katmandu, Phinjo escorted us to our hotel. That evening Nir, Marvel's owner and Phinjo took us out to dinner in Katmandu. Discussion the fact we had two more days in Katmandu to explore, Nir offered to be our guide for one of the days at no expense for his time. We took him up on that and had a marvelously cultural day. So, Everest Base Camp is a special trek. And Marvel Adventure, Nir, Phinjo and Kilo made this bucket list trek very special. I can say I contacted several other agencies for the trek. I am so pleased I chose Marvel Adventure! Namaste Mark Seybert mark.seybert@comcast.net North Wales, PA USA
