This tour takes you to Tsavo East and Taita Hills Games Sanctuary. Saltlick lodge is built on stilts and you can view the game from your rooms as the wild animals came to leak salt from an underground waterhole near the lodge. Game viewing is fantastic. Tsavo is christened The Theater of the wild has due to the wildlife activities especially the red elephants. In Tsavo East is, there is very possibility of viewing the Big Five.

3 Days Summary Details
Description form day one to three from the lick up time at the hotel

  Day 1: From Mombasa Hotel/Beach/Airport to Tsavo East National Park 

Depart your coast hotel after a continental breakfast and head to Tsavo East National Park. Enter through the Bachuma gate and embark on a game drive en route to the luxury Aruba Ashnil Lodge. After lunch, go for a 2-hour game drive in Tsavo East.

Overview of Tsavo East National Park:  – “Theatre of the Wild” – The sight of dust-red elephants wallowing, rolling, and spraying each other with the midnight blue waters of the palm-shaded Galana River is one of the most evocative images in Africa. This, along with the 300-kilometer-long Yatta Plateau, the longest lava flow in the world, makes for an adventure unlike any other in the Tsavo East. The park forms the largest protected area in Kenya and is home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust –red elephant, Rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile, waterbucks, lesser Kudu, gerenuk, and the prolific bird life features 500 recorded species


Day 2: Tsavo East National Park – Taita Hills Game Sanctuary
After breakfast, cross over to the Taita Hills Sanctuary located in the heart of Tsavo. Check-in at the Taita Hills Lodge followed by lunch. Afternoon game drive in the sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at waterhole facing Saltlick Lodge rooms.

Taita Hills Sanctuary: Early morning and late afternoon game drives provide an ideal opportunity to view and photograph the diverse array of wildlife within the sanctuary. The water holes below provide even a wonderful opportunity to view animals at proximity within the comfort and confines of the lodges.


Day 3: Taita Hills – Mombasa

Breakfast, followed by a midmorning game drive.. Lunch at Taita Hills Lodge. Return to your coast hotels arriving in the early evening
