Pre-breakfast, there is an option to join us for a 5k early morning run through the streets of Arusha.

Following this enjoy a delicious breakfast followed by a 2-hour excursion that will take us around the city. Giving us the opportunity to visit the Cultural heritage center- home to one of Africa's largest art galleries as well as local markets. 

Added opportunity to add other excursions such as the ATV 1 hour Karatu tour or explore coffee farm - one of Tanzania's major exports.

The evening is capped off with a Runners dinner before turning in and getting rest for big race!

Wake up extra early and complete your pre-run prep before heading out to the race. The marathon begins at 645am with the half-marathon starting 15 mins later 7am.

Enjoy the cool Tanzanian morning air as you tackle a marathon in Tanzania, with Kilimanjaro serving as your backdrop

After the marathon is all done - we head back for some much needed R&R before celebrating that evening.

With all you accomplished the day before we have a bit of a later start today, enjoying breakfast at the hotel before heading of to explore the endless plains of Serengeti National Park. 

We arrive in Serengeti in the afternoon, enjoying a game drive en-route to the lodge where you likely see antelopes, zebras, and maybe even a few lions!

We spend the entire day exploring the Serengeti in depth. 

After breakfast you head out with your driver-guide, who knows the park like the back of their hand.  You spend time learning where elephants and their herds graze, see giraffes sauntering through the plains, and even the many wildebeest (up to 2million) in their annual pilgrimage.

Of course, there are predators to see as well - Cheetahs, Hyenas, Lions, and ever-elusive Leopard. Spend the day taking it in before returning to lodge to share pictures, enjoy delicious food and the beautiful African sunset

. 

Another great day to enjoy Serengeti - the day is yours to spend either on game drives across the plains - searching for animals you may have missed out on -  or even relaxing at the lodge poolside with a great cocktail, view, and sunshine.

For those looking to see Serengeti from new heights, there is an opportunity to enjoy 

an early morning hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti!

For this you will leave you'll leave the lodge in early morning with a driver to the hot-air balloon take-off site. Make sure to stay alert so you can catch the hippos crossing the road as they head back to their watering hole. 

The balloon will lift-off at dawn allowing you to witness a beautiful African sunrise and Serengeti like you've never imagined. Once landed, the team will have champagne and breakfast ready for you to enjoy

After breakfast, we head back to Arusha where we relax for a short while before heading to the airport and catching our flight back to NYC.
