En route to Malelane, place of palms we will stop at the spectacular Blyde River Canyon which is the largest green canyon in the world. 

 Crocodile Bridge is at the southern tip of the park and where our adventure starts, you will experience three habitat types: open tree Savanna, which is  great for plains game such as Zebra, Buffalo and Cheetah; granite and dolerite plains where you will find Giraffe, Lions and white Rhino and Delagoa thorn thickets where Kudu and Black Rhino can be found.  Be on the lookout for the Blackbelly starling, Waxbills and the resident Pinkthroated Twinspot. 

 Lower Sabie lies on the banks of the Sabie River, it is from walkways and viewing decks where we will spot Leopard if we are lucky enough. 

 From Lower Sabie we will make our way north to Satara. This is a very popular part of the Kruger Park and for good reason. Animals are plentiful, from fruit bats to crickets, experience the call of owls and nightjar. The roar of lion is not uncommon in these parts. 

 Balule and Tsendze are two of the smaller and more rustic camps. From there you can experience the breathtaking view of the river at Olifants Camp, at Letaba’ you can see the extraordinary Elephant Hall. There are shops, restaurants and with a bit of luck the spotting of a hippo around Balule and the resident owls of Tsendze. 

 Shingwedzi, Often reaches temperatures above 40 C! Relax in the lifesaving swimming pool amidst the enormous impala lily bushes. Early-morning views from Red Rocks viewpoint is a must and a quiet drive through the magnificent riverine glades and pools along the S56 Mphongolo Loop. This is Mopane country and a very rewarding drive where elephant roam. 

Punda Maria is a unique region of a forested oasis in the Sandveld often referred to as the botanical garden of the Kruger where the shy Nyala and Sable can be seen.

Pafuri Picnic Site on the banks of the Luvuvhu River further north is where you can see rare birds like African crowned eagles, Black-Throated Wattle-Eyes and even Pel’s Fishing-Owls.

Crook’s Corner, where Zimbabwe, Mozambique and South Africa converge on the Limpopo River at the northern tip of the national park is an exceptional experience not to be missed.

 Meaning “Hill of the Jackal” is one of the most significant historical landmarks in Southern Africa!  View the magnificent stone structures as you are taken back in time. 

 Boasts the Hugh Exton Photographic Museum housed in the Dutch Reformed Church which dates back to 1890.  A bird sanctuary and a visit to Bakone Malapa living museum which bears testimony to the South Africa’s people, will enrich you.
