Punda Maria is a unique region of a forested oasis in the Sandveld often referred to as the botanical garden of the Kruger where the shy Nyala and Sable can be seen.
Pafuri Picnic Site on the banks of the Luvuvhu River further north is where you can see rare birds like African crowned eagles, Black-Throated Wattle-Eyes and even Pel’s Fishing-Owls.
Crook’s Corner, where Zimbabwe, Mozambique and South Africa converge on the Limpopo River at the northern tip of the national park is an exceptional experience not to be missed.
