The most important part of this trip for us was to see condors and we weren’t disappointed. We arrived quite early and it was a sunny day with blue skies. We saw the younger brown ones as well as the adult black and white ones. They were very majestic in flight and some even flew over our heads which was an amazing experience. The shadows they created were also huge and it was like a plane going over! At one time there were about 14 of them all circling around and yes any other time you would worry as they’re from the vulture family, but instead it was more of a moving experience.
There was a huge bonus on this trip - and that was our stay on the first night at Hotel Mama Yacchi. Wow this is such a gorgeous place in an equally beautiful setting. This was the best hotel we’ve stayed in the whole of Peru by far.
The guide and driver were great and you will be very well looked after. We would definitely recommend this trip. Please note: the roads can be a little winding and bumpy so please make sure you take a motion sickness tablet before you travel.
