Puglia has been gaining popularity over the years, but has always been known for some of the best beaches, the views along the coastal cliffs, the architecture, and Puglia has been a long time producer of some of the most incredible foods we have come to know and love, including the most prized gem, Burrata Cheese. Yes! Burrata! Not to forget to mention, Orecchiette Pasta-meaning "small ears" and resembles just that, "Taralli" which is Italy's answer to a pretzel, and maybe the lesser known to Americans, "friselle", which is dried crunchy bread topped with olive oil. Speaking of olive oil, Puglia is quite famous for having some of the best! This tour will take you not only through incredible sites, but show you the best food finds in this beautiful region.

AlberoBello -Home of the Trullo- Tour + Local Lunch
This little town is known for its collection of Trulli whitewashed stone huts that are a must to see when in this region. The Trulli is a traditional dry stone hut that dates back to the mid 14th century. They were originally constructed for temporary field houses for agricultural laborers. The pictures alone are worth the visit! We will then make our way to a locals lunch, and a small private producer of oil to taste the local production

Lecce + Ostuni
Lecce is just a must. Why? Because it's an incredible historical city that has so many sites to see, but it's also known for its "Cucina Povera", which translates to "poor cuisine", and it's absolutely delicious. It's tasty cuisine from rural families that cook seasonally using only what's from the farm at that time. The local dishes have made their way to local restaurants and you have to experience it and the beautiful history of Lecce. We will make a pit stop on the way home to Ostuni to have an aperitivo in the square and to see 'The White City".

Cooking in Monopoli + Lunch
This town should have written the playbook for Mediterranean Diet. A good glass of wine, local seafood, rich olive oils, grains. The women here would turn the local seafood bits that were harder to sell into fabulous creations known as "Merosche", which simply translates to "concoction". They also have a meat sauce called "Manzu", made with 7 different meats! So many great culinary dishes in this little fishing village that are "must haves" and we will learn to cook a few of them with a fresh pasta!

Apuglian Cheese Experience with a Local Dairy Farm
One of the best inventions in food came from Puglia. We can thank the 1950's "mistake" from a dairy farmer that made a splash hit in recent years- the most creamy, yummy and the dream of many when they think of cheese... Burrata! We will learn how to make this divine cheese, along with a couple of other local cheeses from one of the best. Pure heaven! Later that evening, we will enjoy our last dinner together at one of the best local restaurants.

We learned about the Sicily trip from two close friends who are frequent and discerning travelers. This was, from start to finish, a superlative travel experience. Every excursion was meticulously planned and flawlessly executed. All the activities, so graciously hosted by Charlotte, Stephen and Davide, were beyond our expectations and created culinary and sightseeing experiences we never would have enjoyed if we planned this trip on our own. What better endorsement then to say we have booked the Ireland trip for September of 2025, and we look forward to spending our time with Charlotte and Stephen on our next visit to Northern Italy. Letzcook Sicily was an exemplary travel experience! Everything about the trip was exceptionally well-planned and perfectly executed. Owner Charlotte and her husband Stephen set the tone with incomparable service and dedication to their guests' needs. The chefs, guides, and wine and travel experts were chosen with care and excelled in their duties. Accommodations were 1st class, and the meals and wines were way beyond expectations. Fantastic experience. The accommodations were spacious and comfortable. Every day was a new adventure. Making cheese and pasta at small local farms was particularly special. The food was amazing and the education about the history of the food of the area made it all the more enjoyable. I can't wait to do another trip.

This is our 4th trip with Charlotte (yes we are addicted) and 1st trip with Stephen. We and our friends had a fabulous time at daily curate experiences to delight us all. Charlotte knows how to find the unique experiences that connect you with the local people and the pride they have for their culture, traditions and products. Every day is an opportunity for discovery and soaking up of the culture. Wine and olive oil tastings, cooking classes, historical tours, cheese making were just some of the fun activities we enjoyed.

Absolutely fantastic!! I would do this tour again. Charlotte is amazing! Every day was a new adventure, the beautiful places we visited, learning about the cities we visited by a local guide, and the food and wine. Each day was so enjoyable, a wonderful group of people. The perfect way to visit Sicily, wonderful accommodations, your day is planned for you (with the perfect amount of free time). The cooking classes, the absolutely delicious local cuisine, the wine, and the people who hosted us on these adventures, everything was Five Star! I have been on several of Charlotte’s tours and am going to Ireland (golf) and Croatia in 2025. Charlotte knows how to do a tour and Stephen was the perfect addition to this one! Eloise

Our group of 10 just completed our fantastic cooking tour in Puglia with Char and Steven. We had a blast. I recently took a one-week trip to Sicily and it was one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. Charlotte’s planning was impeccable—from the timing and quality of activities to the accommodations, everything was thoughtfully curated. The group she brought together was one of the most dynamic and cohesive I’ve ever experienced, making the trip even more enjoyable. In fact, while I was still on the trip, I booked another one with her for 2025! I hope to do many more trips with Charlotte in the future.
