About this trip

Living Your Destiny: Acupressure & Yoga Retreat is a weekend of Self-Care Acupressure, Gentle Kripalu Yoga, at the scenic grounds of Woolman Sierra Friends Center in Nevada City, CA.  At this Retreat, Karen will teach about the 5 Elements of Chinese Medicine, and the principle that all everything in Nature is also within us: We are a part of Nature.

Each Element will be its own class, and you will learn Self-Care Acupressure, Gentle Kripalu Yoga, and Partner Discussion related to each Element.  The 5 Elements are a system of checks and balances to bring balance, harmony, and peace to life.  Each Element is centered around a theme:

*Water element to discover your Inner Power

*Wood element to uncover the Artist that you are

*Fire element to share your Joy

*Earth element to Nourish your soul

*Metal element to Give yourself the Respect & Honor you Deserve

Retreat includes optional additional Yoga classes to start and end your day, and free time to explore the hiking trails at Woolman Sierra Friends Center, or just time to relax and rest.

Hey there! I’m KC of AcuYogini. I teach yoga and do bodywork to empower people. I believe the world needs more people that are confident and compassionate. That is why my yoga classes are accessible for everyone: they are about how the form arises from you…from the inside out, rather than imposing a form from the outside in. Yes, you’ll learn alignment…and you’ll learn how to flow through your yoga in an organic, fluid, way to discover your inner teacher! Learn more about me and my work at: https://www.acuyogini.com/

KC's Yin retreat was just perfect! I met so many lovely women and ate the most delicious food all weekend. Between the yin, journaling, the sound bath, yoga nidra, drumming, and simply being in a beautiful setting with like minded individuals, I felt more relaxed than I have in a long, long time. Everything about this trip was magical. So much thought and care went into every detail. Every activity flowed beautifully into the next and I will be coming back every year going forward! Absolutely wonderful! Thank you, KC and friends for creating such a restful experience!

This retreat exceeded all of my expectations. The Yin Yoga, drum circle!, sound healing, and Yoga Nidra blew my mind. Everything was five-star stellar. The food menu was to die for as they catered to everyone’s needs: vegan, meat eaters, gluten free, nothing was missed by the caterers. My heart was so full of joy. ~Bridget Q. Folsom, CA

The retreat was so relaxing and truly special. The use of indoor and outdoor spaces was enjoyable. Being in the middle of nature enhanced the experience. The sense of self-connection encouraged through the yin, yoga nidra, relaxation, sound healing, and drumming circle was unique. The meals were fantastic, fresh, and always available for all eating styles. I highly recommend this retreat for anyone who needs to slow down, unplug, and go inward. Thank you, KC!
