Isla Lobos is a small island off the coast and about 30 minutes from the harbor.
The short walk, which takes about an hour, takes you past nesting blue-footed boobies and frigate birds.
The crystal clear waters of Playa Ochoa are ideal for snorkeling with sea lions, rays and turtles.
Lobos Island is ideal to live a very close experience with the animals in their natural habitat, just 25 minutes by boat from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno on San Cristobal Island.
ABOUT THE VISIT TO LOBOS ISLAND AND OCHOA BEACH:
The departure point is from the operator's office, at the selected time, either in the morning at 08h00 or in the afternoon from 13h00.
Once you arrive at the island, bird watching is done from the boat and you will be able to observe nesting blue-footed boobies, and two types of frigate birds, the common and royal frigate birds.
Most of the hike will be on large volcanic rocks, and you will be able to observe colonies of sea lions (that is why it is called Isla Lobos).
Once the walk is over, you will return to the Yacht to go to Ochoa Beach, to enjoy a snorkel or if you wish you can relax on the beach. This site is amazing for the color of its waters and its calm currents are perfect for swimming and seeing lots of marine life.
