ONLY 2 SPOTS LEFT FOR 20 AUGUST, NO OTHER SPOTS OR DATES REMAINING
Have you always wanted to swim with seals, meet like-minded ocean-loving females and explore more of the beautiful UK coastline and wildlife? This Lundy island trip is the ultimate ocean girls day out! Girls that Scuba is the world's largest female dive community, we run trips around the world, and love connecting women with each other! We run these swim with seals trips each year, and can't wait to return to the seals and wildlife of Lundy island for another summer!
Perfect for: Solo females, or friends, looking to explore, swim and meet more female ocean friends as well as discover this hidden-away paradise island in the UK. Mixed trips - for males and females - are 19th June and 26th June
Requirements: You do not need to be scuba dive certified. You should be a confident swimmer. Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult.
The trip starts and ends at Ilfracombe Harbour (carpark is EX34 9EQ) you will need to arrive at 8:30am on the day of your trip.
Trip duration is usually 8 hours depending on tide and weather. Trips are planned around the tides and with this, in mind start, times vary slightly, according to the state of the tide on the day. We leave at 09:00 and aim to arrive back around 5.
If you are not from the local area, it may be nice to stay in Ilfracombe overnight rather than driving back after a long day on the boat - there are usually other Girls that Scuba guests that do this, so you can all have dinner together in Ilfracombe.
Please note these trips are subject to weather. The ocean can be choppy in the Bristol channel and the crossing from Ilfracombe to Lundy can sometimes be a rough ride. The captain will aim to make the final call on any weather issues 48 hours before the trip - however, this isn't always achievable due to how quickly the weather changes. We should also get a better forecast 7 days before the trip, so aim to keep you informed via email of any potential changes in advance. If your trip is cancelled because of bad weather we will re-schedule the trip or we will offer you a full refund (please note, this is only if the whole trip is cancelled due to weather). Please keep this in mind if booking accommodation - it is best to book accommodation that doesn't require full upfront payments or allow cancellation.
Full payment is required to book. Your cancellation options - because of any reason - are:
30 days before the trip - no refund
31 days before the trip 50% refund
18th & 19th June: Sarah Richard, founder of Girls that Scuba.
All other dates: Amy Clark. Amy is a Blue Health Coach and Hypnotherapist, who empowers ocean activists to protect the planet whilst living a life that they love. She is also an eco diver and free diver who loves to cold water dip and spends as much time by the sea as possible, whilst inspiring others to do so too.
19th and 26th June trips are mixed trips for males and females - bring your partner/friends/family!
