After Breakfast we will explore the city palace.  It was built over a period of nearly 400 years, with contributions from several rulers of the Mewar dynasty. The palace consist of many beautiful rooms and our local guide will give explanation on them. There will be plenty of time for photo's. 

After visiting the city palace I will take you to my favourite local Chai vendor. Chai tea is the 'poor mans coffee' in India and it's on of my favourite drinks! We will also be sharing some local snacks delicacies. 

Upaidur has some amazing shop and gift, especially the art scene is thriving here so we will take the  opportunities to do some gifts and souvenir shopping. 

In the afternoon we have the optional activity to go the Animal Aid India. Every year they rescue more than 15,000 injured animals in Udaipur, India. They will give us a tour around the complex, afterwards we spend some time getting to know some of their resident animals and giving them cuddles, love and scratches.

Today we celebrate Holi festival!

Holi is a religious festival celebrated by Hindus all over the world. Holi is considered as second biggest festival on Hindu calendar after Diwali. Holi is also known as festival of Colors. 

Rangwali Holi - the day when people play with colored powder and colored water. Rangwali Holi which is main Holi day is also known as Dhulandi or Dhulendi. 

We will be celebrating Holi in Udaipur. This day can get pretty hectic but we have an excellent local guide (and my dear friend) Anil who make help us navigate through the crowds and festivities! In addition we also have a private space reserved so we can witness and celebrate the festivities as a group!

We depart after breakfast to the rural town of Jojawar. (3 hour drive) 

Upon our arrival in this restored heritage hotel we will explore the area by Jeep safari. The area is home to the camel-herding Rabaris, a unique ethnic group.  

In the evening we will get more familiar with the Indian cuisine and how to prepare its unique dishes and flavours. After the cooking demonstation we will enjoy an included dinner together.

We'll start the morning off with a bit of a road trip! 

It's a 5 drive to Jaipur, otherwise known as the Pink City. This stunning city is the state capital and the largest city of Rajasthan.  

Once we arrive, we'll check into our stunning hotel for the night: Narain Niwas Palace

 In the evening, explore the local market selling colorful souvenirs ranging from Textile, footwear, home décor and so on. And I'll take you to some of my favorite photo spots around the city. Jaipur is sure to be a highlight!! 

We'll begin the day by visiting the stunning Amber Fort which is situated high above the town and surrounded with defensive fortification walls.

The Fort houses mighty gates, temples, huge ornate halls, palaces, pavilions, and gardens.  Once at the top, the Palace affords excellent views of the surrounding countryside and town below. 

Option to visit Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), then head over to Jaipur's Royal City Palace and explore its extravagant rooms and apartments. 

Option to watch a Bollywood film of action, romance, drama, or music (sometimes all rolled into one) at the renowned Raj Mandir Cinema.

Enjoy a second night at the stunning Narain Niwas Palace.

Morning Drive to Agra (5 hours) with a visit to Chand Baori (Stepwell).

Chand Baori in the Abhaneri village is one of the oldest and most popular attractions in Rajasthan. It was built by King Chanda of the Nikumbha Dynasty in 9th century AD. It is one of the largest stepwells in the world, built to conserve water and provide a shade from the intense heat. 

After checking into the Taj Hotel with stunning views of the Taj Mahal, we have the option to explore the Agra Fort.

This is sure to be an unforgettable morning!  We'll be heading to the Taj Mahal for sunrise.

It will mean a very early wake up call but trust me, it's worth it! This was a highlight from my time in India.

In the afternoon, we will visit Sheroes Hangout for an early lunch. 

Sheroes Hangout Café’ is run by female acid attack survivors. This entrepreneurial café gives survivors a chance to earn a livelihood by themselves and provide them with opportunities to socialize with other women and guests. Join the survivors for some coffee and snacks as they share the story of Sheroes Hangout and discuss many of the issues around acid attacks in India. 

Later that day, we will drive 4.5 hours to Delhi. 

This morning venture out to Old Delhi, wandering through alleyways. 

Enjoy Cycle Rickshaw Ride through chaotic streets, such as the famous Chandni Chowk.

Make a visit to the Jama Masjid, Delhi's oldest mosque and one of its most impressive buildings, then visit the Sheeshganj Gurudwara (Sikh Temple) to learn about the Sikh religion. 

Later take a tour to the famous spice market,Khari Baoli, which is Asia’s largest wholesale spice market. This place is crazy and chaotic from the moment the sun rises. As you walk through the market, your senses are sure to be overwhelmed by the intense smell of all the spices. Visit the famous courtyard where these spices are stored and enjoy the best this market has to offer!
