Hi, I'm Tami, your Host, Travel Advisor, Fitness Enthusiast and New Friend. My journey began at my father’s bedside, where caring for him during his cancer battle shifted my path from pursuing travel to becoming an oncology nurse. Through my patients, I learned that time is precious, listening is powerful, and life is meant to be lived fully.
Years later, facing my own life transition, I rediscovered that lesson on the cliffs of Italy’s Amalfi Coast. A spontaneous yoga retreat in Tuscany turned into an unforgettable adventure when I met Lisa—my travel buddy turned dear friend. Together, we explored Italy’s winding roads, sipped wine, and embraced the magic of new experiences. That journey reignited my sense of wonder and reminded me to embrace life with curiosity and joy.
My life changed because I took a leap of faith—and jumped. That bold step inspired me to open Travel Becomes You, a boutique travel agency dedicated to curating retreats that empower women to take control of their lives, rediscover their spark, and embrace new adventures with courage and confidence.
I've been a Nationally Certified Oncology Nurse for over 25 years with experience in hematology and oncology. Throughout my career, I’ve been honored to share my expertise as a public speaker, educating patients and healthcare providers. My work has been published three times, including a feature and webinar for PharmaVoice Magazine. As a mentor and empowerment coach, I’m passionate about helping others grow both personally and professionally.
Beyond my work in healthcare, I’m a lifelong fitness enthusiast and certified personal trainer with a deep love for yoga and meditation. I believe in the power of movement and mindfulness to create strength, balance, and clarity in life.
But my greatest passion is travel. Having explored the world extensively—and with so much more to see—I founded Travel Becomes You to help women in their 50's reconnect with their sense of childlike wonder. Through transformative retreats and travel experiences, I help women to step outside their comfort zones and embrace the adventurous, fulfilling lives they are meant to live.
Hi, I'm Richard (Rich), your Host, Foodie & Executive Chef, I'm excited to share my love for food with you. My journey started in law enforcement as a NYC police officer, but an injury shifted my path and led me to my true passion—cooking. I trained in Culinary Arts on Long Island and worked my way up to Executive Chef, specializing in a wide range of cuisines. Later, I taught Culinary Arts at my alma mater and ran my own catering business. Now as a retired Chef, I enjoy attending retreats with my wife, sharing my love for food through cooking, and guiding amazing food tours on our retreats. Fluent in Spanish, I also serve as an excellent interpreter in Spanish-speaking countries, enhancing the experience for our guests. Food and culture are my ways of connecting with people, and I’m excited to share them with you on this amazing adventure.
