About this trip

MALDIVES LIVEABOARD, “WHERE DREAMS COME TRUE”

The archipelago of the Maldives is formed by 25 atolls and almost 1,200 islands. The vast majority of the islands are uninhabited. It is considered one of the top diving destinations in the world due to the abundance and diversity in the marine life. They have 5 percent of the coral reefs in the whole entire world. Fun fact...25 percent of all marine life in the ocean lives on a coral reef.

Maldivians are gracious hosts offering a safe and peaceful travel destination in one of the most beautiful places in the world.

About the Central Route

The Maldives Central Route is the most well known route in the Maldives. At the same time, it is the route that offers the best and most varied dives. It is a 7 night route including 6 dive days; 18 dives with 2 night dives.

The itinerary goes by North Male, South Male, Felidhoo and Ari Atolls. The aim is to find pelagic grey sharks, white tip sharks, black-tip sharks and in some occasions, hammerheads. We'll also see dolphins, eagle rays, schools of colorful fish, morays, tuna fish, gild-head breams, groupers, and turtles.

We'll see beautiful reefs, canals, thilas (submerged coral "seamounts"), and cleaning stations where mantas gather together to deworm themselves. We'll also search for whale sharks. If we are lucky we'll get to snorkel and even dive with the world's biggest fish. We'll also dive on a wreck teaming with marine life.

The night dives are two of the most spectacular night dives in the world; one with mantas and the other with dozens of nurse sharks.

To discover a bit more of the country, our land excursions will include visits to deserted islands to see sugary white sand beaches with crystal blue turquoise water. We'll also visit typical fishing villages. If the weather allows we'll enjoy a BBQ lunch on a deserted beach.

If you are looking to relax, you can snorkel, enjoy the solarium, the kayaks, and SUP paddleboards.

All of this promises an amazing and unforgettable family adventure.

We had a fabulous time. Everything was well planned. The scuba diving was great, the food was tasty, and the lodging was top notch. The extra activities - canyoneering, hiking into the rainforest, whale watching were all amazing as well. Thanks so much Dina for another wonder adventure!
