Merzouga 4x4 Adventure

Our daily trip is going to start from the location of accommodation in Merzouga. This trip offers the opportunity to explore the desert dunes the volcanic rocks, and the .

way of life there.

Furthermore, we are going to visit a cave which exists along the road used by the Paris Dakar rally, and there we will see the way of extracting the fossils from the bottom of the earth. The use of quad biking is possible but the cost will arise. Then we will cross small villages. After that, we will discover the way of life of a nomad family through drinking mint tea in their tent. Later on, we will move until we arrive to the Algerian border to look the place where they take the cool of the eyes from the caves. There we can walk through the dunes and do sand boarding. Next, we will go to Elkhamlia to listen to Gnaoua Music. We can too go over a Museum of old cars. If you have chance we are going to make a visit to the lake of Dayet Serji. After a walk in the oasis, we will have our lunch in a traditional restaurant and it will contain local food in Rissani. We will have a break; then we will see several places in this village which is the cradle of the Alaouite dynasty which rules Morocco currently . Among the historical monuments found there, there is Sijilmassa, the big center of desert trade, the Kasbas which outnumber 350, and the souk. In the afternoon,  we will return to the hotel or camp.

PS:  if you are Lucky we can see the lac  of "Dayet Srji"it will be interesting which appears seasonally from November to May during the rainy season in Middle Atlas.

Thankyou Tihama Trans Tours! Our driver (Mohammed) was punctual, , knowledgeable and very accommodating. Excellent transfer service from our Tangier hotel to Fes in a comfortable tourist van that had plenty of space for our family with luggage. I would recommend this trip and tour provider to anyone.

Camp experience was great. Camel ride was amazing. Staff were friendly. Road trip and stop over tours was great. Our driver Moha is an awesome and genuine person. Food at the camp was less than average ( stale pastries, very light breakfast and basic dinner). Led to stomach bug for the remainder of the tour. Great way to see much of the country.

I hated the way they treated the camels. Some of them looked sick/ like they were in pain and they still forced them to carry people even tho the camel was literally screaming. Also they wanted to charge 150 dirham per person (??? Makes no sense to me) to turn the AC on. I’d get charging extra for the AC per room- but per person???? The energy used is the same no matter if it’s 3 or 4 people in the room. The food in the evening was good tho. And the guys that played the drums in the evening were also really friendly and nice.

This trip was good value for money. We went to some wonderful places and the accommodation was good for the price. Some of the guides were better informed than others.
