About this trip
Join us to explore your spiritual side through movement and music. The Summer Solstice is the time when the sun is at its highest peak, and your capacity to shine is at its highest potential. This will be a unique Retreat: twice daily yoga and meditation, plus Sound baths, earth-based rituals, kirtan, Reiki and pranayama.
This family-friendly 8-night retreat with Rachel Rajput and Malka Lew will take place at Mar De Jade, a magical yoga and meditation retreat center in Chacala, Mexico. Chacala is 41 miles north of Puerta Vallerta, and we will pick you up from the airport at PV and deliver you right to the door of Paradise!
We will spend 8 days and 7 nights deepening our yoga practice and enjoying a true digital detox. Unwind in paradise with twice-daily offerings of yoga and meditation to soothe your troubled soul. Feast on healthy and organic farm-to-table buffet meals, take a woodblock printing class, get a massage, take a jungle hike, tour the farm, detoxify in an Aztec Sweat Lodge, enjoy pampering spa treatments, swim in the pools, or take a dip in the ocean waters. *If you must use the Wifi, it is fast, with very few connectivity problems.
But wait! Mar De Jade is also a socially conscious nonprofit organization that has a number of community efforts. It is run by founder Laura del Valle and her daughter Anjelica, who live on the property. Our retreat fees go directly to support:
El Jardin: their local school (free for community children)
El Rancho: their organic permaculture farm, and the new:
Tao De Jade: trade school for underserved teens and single parents.

Covid Protocols: Mar De Jade has impeccable cleaning protocols and distancing guidelines. All meals are served outdoors, with all yoga classes in Open-Air studios. Aside from your roommate(s), there is no need for indoor mixing with any other folks, and the property is plenty large enough that it never feels crowded. Please read their updated protocols HERE.

Please note that no part of this trip is refundable. If you need to cancel your trip due to COVID-19, illness, or other circumstance, you may transfer your tuition (ie sell your ticket) to another person. Please let us know this person's name by emailing rachel@leftcoastpoweryoga.com at least 48 hours before the retreat begins.
In the case of a retreat cancellation by the organizers, all fees will be fully refunded.

We have added a budget-friendly option to this trip! Three friends or family members may share a beautiful Ocean Suite. Two people will share the main room (please request King or 2 Double Beds when booking) and the third will be in a small side room. This option may ONLY be booked if all three friends sign up at the same time. To book, please have all three friends register on the same day and select this option. The deposit and 2 payments will be charged to each roommate separately.

Comfortable and well appointed, each room has a sitting area with a futon that can accommodate up to two children; some have the futon in a space separated by a door for added privacy. All have bathtubs, and some have a separate shower as well. Most are on third and fourth floors and require steps to climb. Please indicate if you have a roommate in mind. If you choose to be placed with a roommate we will do our best, but cannot guarantee that we can place you in the pricing tier that you have requested.

This is a great option for budget travelers! Stay in a smaller but still very comfortable Guest Room with one roommate (either your choice or we will assign one!) All rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated, crafted in a Mexican style, with natural rock, hand painted mosaics and tropical mahogany wood finishes; while others have an airy Mediterranean feel with floor-to-ceiling windows that let in plenty of natural light. All rooms are air conditioned, and have en-suite bathrooms with natural bath amenities and either 2 Double or one King-sized beds. Please indicate if you have a roommate in mind. If you choose to be placed with a roommate, we will do our best, but cannot guarantee that we can place you in the pricing tier that you have requested.
These rooms are larger than the Guest rooms and have a balcony!
