  • An evening briefing by experienced guides equips you with essential insights and prepares you for the challenges ahead.

Day 3: Deepening Your Spiritual Connection at Pashupatinath

  • Witness the powerful ceremonies at the Pashupatinath Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and participate in morning Darshan and Puja rituals, connecting with the divine and setting a respectful foundation for your pilgrimage.

Day 4:  Journey Towards Kailash - Kathmandu to Kerung

  • Depart Kathmandu, embarking on a scenic drive towards Kerung, the border town with Tibet. Enjoy the picturesque landscapes and tranquil beauty of the Trishuli River valley.
  • Overnight stay in a comfortable mountain guesthouse in Kerung.

Day 5: Crossing the Border - Entering the Tibetan Plateau

  • Cross the Friendship Bridge into Tibet, marking a significant shift towards your ultimate pilgrimage goal – Mount Kailash. Meet your Tibetan guide in Jilong, a town showcasing a blend of traditional and modern Tibetan life.
  • Spend the night in Jilong, allowing your body to adjust to the higher altitude.

Day 6: Approaching the Sacred Kailash - Jilong to Saga

  • Enjoy a scenic drive from Jilong to Saga, witnessing the majestic beauty of the Tibetan plateau, including Mt. Shisha Pangma and the tranquil Lake Pikucho.
  • Cross the sacred Brahmaputra River, symbolizing the washing away of the mundane and a preparation for the spiritual elevation promised by Mount Kailash.
  • Relax and recharge in comfortable accommodations in Saga.

Day 7: Embracing the Kailash Realm - Saga to Paryang

  • The drive from Saga to Paryang intensifies the essence of your pilgrimage. Witness breathtaking landscapes, high mountain passes, and the serene Brahmaputra River.
  • Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay in Paryang, a crucial stop for acclimatization before the trek to Mount Kailash.

Investing in a Paryang Stopover for a Smoother Pilgrimage

Many tours skip Paryang to save costs. However, Peregrine prioritizes your well-being and a successful pilgrimage. Here's why a night in Paryang is crucial:

  • Smooth Acclimatization: Paryang's altitude (around 4,550 meters) allows your body to gradually adjust to the thinner air, reducing the risk of altitude sickness.
  • Enhanced Stamina: Proper acclimatization helps you tackle the physical demands of the high-altitude trek with more energy and stamina.
  • Improved Sleep Quality:  Sleeping at a lower altitude promotes deeper and more restful sleep, vital for optimizing your physical and mental well-being throughout the Yatra.
  • Reduced Risk of Altitude Sickness:  Investing in a Paryang stopover significantly decreases the chances of suffering from altitude sickness.

Day 8: Reaching the Sacred Waters - Paryang to Manasarovar Lake

  • Arrive at the revered Manasarovar Lake, a highlight of your pilgrimage. Participate in sacred rituals like darshans and dips in the holy water, deepening your spiritual connection.
  • Spend the night near the lake, immersing yourself in its tranquility and reflecting on its significance.

Day 9: Preparing for the Kailash Parikrama - Manasarovar to Darchen

  • The pilgrimage shifts from contemplative rituals at Manasarovar Lake to active exploration as you travel to Darchen, the base camp for the Kailash Parikrama.
  • Prepare for the trek, both physically and mentally, as the circumambulation of Mount Kailash tests your endurance and faith.
  • Rest and gather strength for the trek ahead with an overnight stay in Darchen.

Day 10: A Trek of Faith - Darchen to Diraphuk

  • Embark on the core of your pilgrimage – the Kailash Parikrama – with a trek from Darchen to Diraphuk. This sacred walk around Mount Kailash is a rite of passage for many pilgrims, offering stunning views of the mountain and blending physical challenges with spiritual introspection.
  • Overnight stay in Diraphuk, nestled amidst the serene Himalayan landscape, allows you to connect with the natural and mystical energies of the region.

Day 11: A Sacred Encounter - Diraphuk to Charan Sparsh

  • The trek from Diraphuk to Charan Sparsh, meaning "touching the feet," marks a profound moment in your pilgrimage.  Touching the base of Mount Kailash, believed to be where Lord Shiva left his footprint, symbolizes blessings and spiritual fulfillment.
  • Spend the night reflecting on this transformative experience and the power of the sacred mountain.

The Profound Significance of Charan Sparsha: A Deeper Connection

The Mount Kailash Manasarovar Yatra is revered by followers of Hinduism, Buddhism, Bon, and Jainism.  This itinerary includes an extra night in Diraphuk to ensure you have ample time and energy for the profound experience of Charan Sparsh.

  • Optimal Timing and Reduced Crowds: With an extra night, you can start the hike early, potentially encountering fewer pilgrims and creating a more serene atmosphere for contemplation.
  • Improved Acclimatization: Diraphuk sits at a higher altitude than Darchen. Having an extra night allows your body to further adjust to the thinner air, reducing fatigue and enhancing your well-being during Charan Sparsh.
  • Deeper Spiritual Connection: Ample time and a rested body allow you to fully immerse yourself in the spiritual significance of Charan Sparsh.

Day 12: The Kailash Parikrama Challenge - Diraphuk to Zhulthulphuk

  • The trek from Diraphuk to Zhulthulphuk is considered the most challenging part of the pilgrimage, testing your endurance and faith.  You'll conquer the Dolma-La Pass, the highest point of the trek, offering breathtaking vistas and spiritual landmarks, enriching your spiritual and physical journey.
  • After a demanding day, rest and reflect on the experiences in a monastery guesthouse in Zhulthulphuk.

Day 13: Completing the Kailash Kora - Zhulthulphuk to Darchen and Saga

  • The final leg of the Kailash Kora, from Zhulthulphuk to Darchen, signifies the culmination of your circumambulation of Mount Kailash.  Drive back to Saga, reflecting on the profound experiences of the pilgrimage amidst the serene Himalayan landscapes.
  • Overnight stay in comfortable accommodations in Saga allows for relaxation and rejuvenation.

Day 14: Reflecting on the Kailash Experience - Saga to Jilong/Kerung

  • The return drive to Jilong/Kerung offers a chance to reflect on the lessons learned and experiences gained during your pilgrimage. Enjoy a farewell dinner prepared by the dedicated staff, celebrating the successful completion of the Mount Kailash Tour.

Day 15: Returning to Kathmandu - The End of the Kailash Yatra

  • Depart Jilong, crossing the Friendship Bridge back into Nepal. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, check into your hotel and take time to assimilate the experiences of your pilgrimage.
  • The Mount Kailash Tour transcends a travel experience; it offers profound spiritual insights and lasting memories.

Day 16: Departure Day - Farewell to the Kailash Tour

  • Spend your final day in Kathmandu packing and preparing for departure. As you transfer to the airport, cherish the memories of your transformative journey to Mount Kailash.  This pilgrimage will continue to inspire and guide you long after you return home.

Predip from Peregrine Treks was a very helpful organiser. From the minute we booked to the end of our trip he was always there to help or try to make things better. He personally took us to a cultural event in Nepal, which was fantastic, great food and dancing. Our internal flights went smoothly and there was always someone to meet us at the airport with a sign with our names. The hotels were generally good and some were exceptional, with amazing mountain views... The drivers and guides were very good and happy to adapt or fit in extra activities. Me and my brother saw many amazing things on this trip including temples, Dzongs and forts, we finished off with the amazing Tigers Nest visit and a view of the Everest mountain range on our flight back to Kathmandu. This was a fantastic trip organised Peregrine Treks... :)

My trip was absolutely amazing. It was everything I hoped it would be and more. Pradip did an amazing job of putting my trek together as well as sightseeing for several days in Kathmandu. My guide on the trek (Puri Kamal) was spectacular! He was constantly checking in and looking after me. He made sure we were trekking at my pace, and never felt rushed. He also encouraged me throughout the trek and gave me confidence in myself. The guide I was provided in Kathmandu was both knowledgeable about Nepal and the people and culture of Nepal. He made me fall in love with Nepal, its rich culture and beautiful people. I’m planning another trip for next year along with a group of friends.

The feeling of being at the "Top of. the World"! Indeed, the entire trip from start to finish was A+. We had been communicating with Pradeep from. Peregrine from over a year and he was always very communicable, courteous, gave us a totally customized trip depending on each guests' capabilities, was reasonably priced and provided the best customer service possible. He was there to receive each of us at the airport along with the guides and welcomed us in true Nepali hospitality. The trek itself was well planned, organized and coordinated. The guides, assistant guides and porters all were very friendly, capable, and supportive. The lodges and hotels at all the various camps along the trek were top of the line and the best available. Food and our comforts were well taken care of. Each night we had good briefing about the next day's trek and what to expect in terms of weather, clothing/gear, level if difficulty, terrain, health etc. The only thing I would have done slightly different was to have an extra night in Gorakshep so we were not too rushed to go to EBC on the same day and were not too tired to trek Kala patthar. We had an amazing time trekking EBC, thanks to EBC Luxury Tour/Trek. Will definitely want to do it again. Once in a. liftime experience that. was totally exhausting but extremely exhilarating!

Had a great 10 day Nepal tour with an excelent driver & guides visiting Kathmandu, Nagarkot, Bhaktapur, Pokhara, Lumbini, & Chitwan. Driver was excelent in handling Nepal's roads & highways aspecially since many are under construction. Guides were very enthusiastic, providing in deph commentary about the many sites we visited. Hotels were 3 star but were all well above average and in the visiting area making free time a pleasure. I would heartily recommend Peregrine Treks and Expedition for a great trip. they delivered as advertised and more!

My recent Everest Base Camp trek with Peregrine Trek was an experience of a lifetime. From the moment I arrived in Kathmandu Marriott , then to Lukla to the day I returned, We used helicopters to and from Kathmandu to Lukla and further due to more reliability . We stopped at Phakding , monjo , Namche , on our trek and further up at pangboche, Dingboche ( where we had great acclimatization ascent and descent) Our lead guide, Mukhiya, was an invaluable asset throughout the trek. His knowledge of the region, his passion for mountaineering, and his genuine care for our well-being made all the difference. He was assisted by Ashish and Renjit, who provided excellent support and encouragement and specially my assistant guide Dorji, and both porters Gyan and Dilkumar . Yeti Mountain Homes lodges, which offered comfortable and clean accommodations throughout the first three nights of stay in the trek. The highlight was our stay at the Everest View Hotel, the highest hotel in the world. The breathtaking views of Mount Everest from our room as well as terrace were simply unforgettable. The itinerary was well-paced, allowing us to acclimatize gradually to the high altitude. We trekked through diverse landscapes, from lush forests to barren mountain passes, and encountered a variety of wildlife along the way. The daily briefings provided by our guides could have been better and their knowledge of flora , fauna was patchy, and without WiFi we lacked the education I expected from them. The trek to Everest Base Camp is very very challenging, The sense of accomplishment we felt upon reaching the base camp was immense. The stunning views of the surrounding peaks, including Mount Everest itself, as well as Ama Dablam, Pomori ,made the entire journey worthwhile. Mt. Everest Lhotse ,Nuptse Ama Dablam,Kangtega and Thamserku to name few The entire Peregrine Trek team especially the guides and porters went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and safety. They carried our luggage, and assisted us with any special requests we had and I was fortune to hire two porters just for me with extra payment . Their attention to detail and personalized service made was excellent. Our return was a Heli ride with sops at Kala Pathar and Gokyo lake and then Lukla for additional cost . If you are considering an Everest Base Camp trek, I recommend Peregrine Trek with its owner Pradip Karki always available on WhatsApp or mobile . Certain additional hints : Carry disposable urinal packs for gorakshep where rooms lack bathrooms Hot water bags for last 2-3 days Chapsticks Electrolytes tablets Pillow covers Optional sleeping bag for last 2-3 days ,-20’C verified For Indian travelers , take adequate Indian dehydrated ready to eat packs where you just add boiling water Always have fulfilling breakfast in morning Water bottles with long spouts Layered clothes UV protective sunglasses Adequate back up medicines especially loperamide , Stool softeners , Cetrizine , otrivin, Vicks inhalers ( worked like charm ), Vicks cream , NSAIDS, acetaminophen , I used .25-.5 mg alprazolam which generally not recommended but few of us used it to get good nights sleep and didnot see any breathing depression. We didnot use energy bars etc which is highly cited by people , and actually offloaded few of those to lighten our backpack I carried my GoPro and put it on my Sherpa head , and taugh hi how to use it Overall a great fulfilling trip ,

The tour of Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan was fantastic. We got to experience the culture and history of Kathmandu, the natural beauty of Pokhara, and the wildlife of Chitwan. The tour guides were knowledgeable, and the accommodations were great.
