We begin our tour at Cerro San Cristóbal (Pedro de Valdivia access). Here, we begin the climb up the hill with our bicycles, an exciting experience that allows us to appreciate a large part of the city and its majestic mountains. We will reach the summit at an altitude of 880 meters.
At the Bellavista terrace viewpoint, we provide the necessary safety instructions before beginning a 10-minute descent down an asphalt path, where we will visit several viewpoints. We then ventured off the main asphalt route to take alternative trails, kicking off our MTB experience.
The trails are approximately 1 meter wide and offer different levels of difficulty for those who practice XC (cross-country cycling) and traditional MTB with a rigid frame and suspension. These trails wind around Cerro San Cristóbal, providing 360° panoramic views of the city, surrounded by vegetation, forests and seasonal flowers.
Then, we ascend again by bicycle to explore another hill to the north, arriving at the Metropolitan Park Amphitheater. Here, we enjoy different MTB circuits with ascents and descents along dirt and stone paths, with varying degrees of difficulty. These circuits are little known and offer privileged views that go beyond what an average tourist would experience.
Finally, we connect again with the city in the commune of Vitacura to undertake a 10-kilometer route downhill through the Bicentenario Park and different bike paths that border the Mapocho River in the commune of Providencia. We finish our tour at the Baquedano metro station.
