Join expert naturalist Alexa Stickel on a guided, multi-sensory exploration of the premontane forest of the upper San Luis de Monteverde valley. Bordered by the world-famous Monteverde cloud forest reserve, you will learn about the cultural and historical context of your incredibly unique surroundings.
During our time together, we will explore both the inner and outer world as we search for wildlife, learn about what makes tropical cloud forests special, and explore the intersection of humans and this breathtaking landscape. We will also have the chance to stimulate our senses, diving inward through sensory meditations with forest giants, immersions into the rich forest soundscape, and the opportunity to bathe in the pristine San Luis river, just meters from its source in the mountains.
Our experience at the eco-farm closes with a delicious homemade lunch prepared by a daughter who grew up on this land that has been converted, through family-led conservation practices and the support of ecotourists like you, into a paradise for people and animals alike.
