About this trip

¡Hola! Join Napa Valley College Spanish Professor Nicole Carrier (nicole.carrier@napavalley.edu) for NVC's annual Spanish Immersion Program in Salamanca, Spain this summer. The program begins in Madrid, where you will spend a day touring the city and visit the world famous Prado Museum and Royal Palace. After two nights, take a private motorcoach to Salamanca, where you will meet your host family and settle into this laidback university town. Spanish classes are carried out every morning from 9:00am-1:00pm, leaving you with plenty of time to explore.

Your host family will cook you breakfast, lunch and dinner every day, if you wish. This program also includes an excursion to the beautiful towns of Segovia and La Granja.

Wonderful experience. Amazing place with powerful historical significance. The Polynesian story is epic.

This was a unique and very special trip. I made some new friends and thoroughly enjoyed the experiences provided. The hotel was just right, and the added entertainment a real bonus. The highlight for me, though, was Tessa, our trip planner. She answered every question, consistently kept us up to date regarding our daily schedule, was supportive on a personal level, and was a joyous traveler as well. It was a true pleasure to meet her.

The destination speaks for itself. It was the combination of Terry with his extensive expertise on the subject of the island, and Tessa's extraordinary expertise in managing the group and the myriad details that make for a successful trip that made for a truly wonderful trip.

Seriously, the sample suggested text is precisely on target: We had a great time. Wonderful people, delicious food and comfortable accommodations. Thank you for a fantastic experience! In more detail, Tessa proved to be an energizer bunny, ensuring that everyone's needs and issues were resolved for the entire trip, from airport pickup in Santiago, Chile, until the return to the airport 9 days later. I think she will sleep for a week after taking care of us nonstop from dawn until late at night. Everyone was thrilled with her expert support and her wonderfully calm and positive personality. The other members of the tour were also a joy. But I can't credit that entirely to the tour company - it just worked out to be very special. We saw so many amazing sights while learning a tremendous amount about the culture and history of Rapa Nui. Transfers went smoothly, and our guides, Terry and Gina, were fabulous - both amazingly knowledgeable and willing to help in any way.
