There are no words to properly articulate how incredible my trip with my father to Bhutan was. Soaking in the culture, the peace, the subtle and pure way life is lived there. Its overwhelming in the most approachable way. My eyes constantly grazing and my soul continuing to be fed by new enlighten thought. As a seasoned traveler I rarely make the statement of a place truly changing me, yet I can boldly say Bhutan has shifted more than my perspective, but my true appreciation for life; and Dharma Adventures was such a key component in making it all happen. The ease of planning this bucket list trip was such a dream. They presented just the right amount of different suggestions, while not over burdening me with choices, giving cream of the crop recommendations. They were flexible with my teeter tottering decisions on how to break up the trip and how to be the most financially conscious. This was the first time my father and I were going on an adventure where everyday was mapped out and had a guide and driver. A bit reluctant because we usually fly by the seed of our pants, it was a pleasant change to sit back and have everything already sorted. Yet still have the flexibility to change a plan if we wanted. Our guide, Karma Gigme was the highlight of our Dharma Adventures experience. Karma went above and beyond any exception. He was extremely personable and immediately felt like family, while still maintaining a professional composure. His positive attitude, in-depth cultural knowledge, proactive actions, and clear communication made our trip what it was. I will forever be grateful that we were lucky enough to get him and our lovely driver Amber. As someone who books travel professionally, I absolutely plan to enlist Dharma Adventures whenever I am sending clients to Bhutan.

It was much more than I expected from just doing my research of each resort and activity. The Dhaman guides are so knowledgeable and personable. The clean air and beautiful prayer flags of Bhutan were incredible and a photographers dream come true. The climb to Tigers Nest is an accomplishment that will stay with me forever.

I had the most spectacular time! The accommodations were excellent Dwarikas is a really special hotel. I would make note to them to stop using the highly fragrant floor cleaning. It made me cough and my eyes burn. US hotels have moved away from such things for health reasons (even if its natural its too much smell). The jungle lodge was authentic and beautiful. Two things here: there should be a warm place to take your meals if you do not want to be outside in the cold. Also, there should be a private option for the safari portion. If it is not possible to see the Tigers by driving around and its best to sit at the water edge for several hours then that should be the option. The staff and guides/drivers at every location were 5 star. Tigers Mtn Hotel was lovely, the room was cold and drafty but they did what they could to add some heat. The service and food and location as beautiful. I would stay here again and do day hikes. Pokhara was a great spot for nature. The museum was interesting but not for everyone unless really not the history. I liked the visit to Helping Hands and was happy to donate the bike. Adding these things into an itinerary are really satisfying. I would strongly recommend hotels initiate a hotel policy on tipping for clarity. This was very confusing. Either have a "hotel box" or have an individual tipping policy but it should be made clear to the guests which is appropriate. I enjoyed the city walking tours and seeing the shrines and temples. The history is fascinating. Dharma gets my highest ratings for every step of the itinerary. Just perfection!
