Spend New Year's Eve on a Jamaican holiday and welcome in the new year with a special transformative ritual and ceremony to mark the transition to 2025. This is a small group experience which will be led by the experienced and compassionate facilitator Gay Lynn Grigas LMHC, CAP.
Join us in celebrating the New Year and embrace your new spiritual journey on the New Moon. We'll be together for 5 wonderful days filled with healing, music, the Caribbean Sea, and the warm hospitality of a Jamaican family home nestled in a quiet villa in the hills of west end, surrounded by love and community.
Your experience will combine the medicine of the Jamaican lands with plant medicines to help us embrace the beauty and wonder that surrounds us in stunning Negril Jamaica. 🇯🇲

About Gay Lynn Grigas of Grigas Consulting & GayLynn.net :
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Addiction Professional, and experienced Psychedelic Therapist trained through the MDMA-assisted therapy program at the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS).
I assist my clients with preparation and counseling, legal psychedelic medicine journeys, and integration sessions on their inner path to healing. I have studied abroad in The Netherlands in September 2022 and 2024 attending the Interdisciplinary Conference on Psychedelic Research (ICPR)- the leading scientific conference in Europe dedicated to advancing psychedelic research and therapies, organized by the OPEN Foundation. While there I met and studied with leaders in the field of psychedelic medicines and therapies.
I also have ten years as a corporate trainer and consultant in educational settings such as Florida International University and Florida Atlantic University and as an Adjunct Psychology Professor at the University of Phoenix.
My desire is to help each person come to know themselves, heal themselves, and be curious about their unique life meaning and purpose. My commitment is to help individuals live their best authentic life and pursue what makes them happy.

Welcome to our home in Negril Jamaica. I am a Registered Nurse and certified Nurse coach who believes in natural and alternative medicine. I have experienced all kinds of modalities for healing. The best modality that I have found is just rest and relaxation. I encourage my clients to connect to optimal health by hitting the pause button in order to replenish the body's energy.
When I migrated from Jamaica at 16 years old, it was always my dream to return and to share my home with my friends. My personal trauma could not keep me away from my people and the land. My culture was everywhere. The food, the music, the love, never left me. Family stuff aside, I needed to be swimming in the clear sea and walking in the lush hills to soothe my soul. As an adult, I have been healing myself and have returned to my island home to rest and replenish my body, mind and spirit. Serenity villa in Negril, is a peaceful respite from the busyness of my everyday life. My wife Norma is a Licensed Massage Therapist who has the most blessed hands you will ever encounter. In order to help to heal humanity, we have created this wellness retreat and respite home with our amazing children and grandchildren.
I now go to Jamaica to reset and recharge. I invite you to do the same at our beautiful vacation villa. Some people like the peaceful quiet of our home at Serenity Villa and may hardly leave the property. Guests may decide to take in the sun on a yoga mat on the soft grass or just have a drink or smoke on the veranda. Others may decide to have an occasional (10 mins) walk to the beach or to visit our neighborhood bars and restaurants within walking distance from the house. Others, may prefer to light up the town. For those who long for adventure and nightlife, Negril does not disappoint! Negril has a wide range of restaurants, bars, shops, and resorts (you can experience them with a day or night pass, the best of both worlds). The iconic Seven Mile Beach is only a short car ride away.

Traveling alone?
If you would like to use the room alone without sharing with a partner (we have twin and Queen beds), you can have a single room but the room will cost you an additional amount. Rooms are based on double occupancy. Please email us for additional cost.
Adults only
We reserve the right to not have kids unless we are hosting a family. The reason for this is that a lot of adults want to escape the kids for couple time. To be fair to other people, we limit kids only to family events. Thanks for understanding.
Go+Explore
Explore in our own van, lovingly called "Max", around the island with our trip facilitator. A lot of the excursions are a little off the beaten path, in all the best ways. Connect to the hills of Jamaica as well as its beaches, caves and falls. This is a unique fusion of family and tourist immersion into our island culture.

All deposits are non-refundable. Please get travel insurance for unforeseen needs.

Itinerary
Arrive and relax at our slice of paradise. Your Phoenix is Rising enjoys our new vacation house at Serenity Villa (we kept the name, how appropriate!).
- [ ] Take in the sun on a yoga mat in the carpet grass (super soft!)
- [ ] Bird & butterfly watch from the veranda upstairs or downstairs.
- [ ] Play a family game upstairs in the living room
- [ ] Learn to cook Jamaican cuisine
- [ ] Walk 10 mins to the beach and its bars. Say hi to Quality (yes that’s the name of the restaurant and bar at the end of our road but also the name of the owner) for us!
