I did a 8 day cruise with Anahí Yacht. Highly recommended them, they take running a tight ship to a whole different level! The staff were extremely professional, everything was on schedule. The meals were amazing and the beds were turned twice a day ( I know ). You could definitely see that the service was taken very seriously.

We took an 8-day Galápagos cruise on the yacht Monserrat on 5-12 September 2024. Before going into details, we feel that 7 or 8 days is really essential for experiencing what the Galápagos offers. Some reviews of shorter cruises rightly note that the first and last days aren't really full days, so with only a couple of full days on the ship, you won't get a chance to see that much. Seeing several of the islands really conveys how organisms have evolved differently on each. Overall, our itinerary was excellent. We visited several islands, including Fernandina and the north of Isabela, which aren't so frequently visited. The schedule kept us busy each day with walks on the islands, snorkeling, and occasional kayaking and dinghy rides. The cabins are small but comfortable. We'd recommend an upper cabin, as some passengers on the lower deck noted fairly loud engine noise. The crew was first-rate. They were organized, courteous, and helpful, always ready to assist with getting wetsuits on and off, providing towels and hot snacks, and keeping the cabins tidy (in fact, housekeeping took place twice a day, which was perhaps not necessary). The crew also did a great job of tracking everyone while snorkeling, and looking out for the safety of the guests generally. Food was generally tasty and plentiful. It was pretty impressive how the cooks managed to feed us all from such a small kitchen. We might have appreciated more fish and seafood rather than chicken but we were happy with the food overall. The cooks accommodated one kid's request for grilled cheese sandwiches, which was nice to see. With 18 passengers during the second half of our cruise, the dining room felt a bit noisy and crowded at times. There's a small bar on board, but you can also bring your own wine; we brought along a couple of liters of box wine and were glad we did. The natural world is of course the main attraction in the Galápagos, and an expert guide is a crucial part of understanding it. For the first four days we had just one guide, and with 12 passengers a second guide would have been ideal. While our guide clearly had lots of knowledge and expertise (his bird calls drew the birds to us every time!), he could have done better in a couple of respects. He didn't always understand questions correctly, and rather than ask for clarification, he'd go off on tangents. The evening briefing to discuss the next day's activities were likewise way too drawn out; the information in them could have been succinctly and clearly conveyed in about 10 minutes, but they usually dragged on for 30 to 45 minutes. Summing up, the Monserrat was a great way to see the Galápagos. A cruise lets you travel overnight to some remote and interesting spots, and Monserrat is a small enough ship that everyone can quickly board the dinghies for wildlife viewing and snorkeling. We're happy we chose it.

I booked a cruise on the Galapagos Alya Yacht through Ecuador Green Travel, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The booking process was seamless, and the transfer arrangements were handled flawlessly. The yacht itself was stunning, offering both comfort and luxury. The food was 5 stars, and the excursions were all excellent. Every moment on board was memorable, and the overall experience was simply incredible. Highly recommend Ecuador Green Travel for an unforgettable adventure!
