Reviews

We had an awesome, action packed yoga safari retreat! Starting with a hike around Victoria Falls then a boat ride that consisted of a yoga safari on the Zambezi River where we saw elephants and hippos. The following several days Marcia led amazing yoga sessions that were tranquil, meditative and educational in a beautiful, peaceful atmosphere overlooking the Botswana African plains. The Munga team was great, especially Haskins the safari guide who has an incredible sense of finding animals and extreme knowledge of identifying wildlife…I never imagined we would see a live lion chase!! The glampling accommodations were very nice, food was good and the resort had very nice amenities. I also enjoyed learning about the culture and meeting the local people! I‘m grateful for being able to experience this yoga safari! I highly recommend Marcia’s retreats…I’ve attended a few…as she always combines the best of yoga, adventure and culture.

Unforgettable Retreat A fantastic experience from start to finish! As soon as I arrived at Victoria Falls Airport, I was warmly welcomed and from that moment on I was in the best of hands. The visit to Victoria Falls was an impressive experience, and the yoga session on the Zambezi River at sunrise was simply unforgettable - a magical atmosphere that will stay with you forever. On the way to Munga Plains, we were able to spot the first animals, which made the journey itself a bit of an adventure. Munga Plains is an oasis of tranquillity. The main lobby is very cozy and beautifully decorated. There is always coffee, tea and small snacks available, as well as filtered water which could be used at any time to fill the Munga Plain thermos flask. The cottage is simple but tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you need. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom large. The small veranda invites you to linger and the view is simply relaxing. The refreshing pool was a blessing in the high temperatures in October. Every day the chef spoiled us with wonderful dishes, which he served with a lot of love. The whole team treated us with warmth, respect and tireless dedication to pampering us. The short walk to the shala was another special experience. As soon as you leave the gate, it feels like you leave everything behind and take a step towards yourself. A unique place that offers relaxation and inspiration. Our yoga teacher Marcia was not only extremely professional, but also incredibly empathetic and attentive. From the very beginning, she made me feel truly understood and carefully tailored each exercise to my individual needs and abilities. Marcia took the time to understand exactly what would be helpful and beneficial for me personally and recommended specific exercises that suited me particularly well. Her appreciative approach and patient manner made me feel completely at ease and supported - a teacher who really puts her heart and soul into her work. I can warmly recommend this yoga Retreats in Munga Plains.
