This overland transfer from suriname to Guyana or Guyana to suriname is based on a public shared transport service and is not private.

Note:
Suriname to Guyana overland is same timings and procedures as Guyana to Suriname.
Suriname is 1 hour ahead of Guyana.
Pickup time will be around 0400am and you will be at the ferry terminal at 0800 - 0830am.
You need:
- Passport
- Yellow fever vaccination card with you
- visa for Guyana or Suriname
The ferry fee is not included and need to buy with your yellow fever vaccination card and passport. A one way costs USD 20 and a retour costs USD 30
Ferry departs daily at 1000H from Suriname as well 1000H from Guyana ( Suriname is 1 hour ahead of Guyana.)
All times are same for pick up in Guyana as well Suriname.
You will arrive in Guyana when departing from Suriname around 1600H and same as for Suriname.
Additional notes:
- Based on how many persons there are on the transfer the car will be a signed
- Some of the cars do have seatbelts in Guyana.
- AC is available but since this is a public service, the driver will not always turn on the ac.
- Pick-up is most of the tie is between 430AM and 5AM, but it can be delayed a-little based on the pick-ups of others.
- During this transfer, 1 piece of luggage is included for free. For the 2nd piece of luggage there wll be an additional fee based on the size.

Private transfer is up to 3 persons.
You will change car and driver at the border.
This fee is on top of the shared transfer costs.
You will pick up in Suriname and drop off in Guyana airport ( Cheddi Jaggan International Airport) additional fee to be added.
Traveling from Suriname to Guyana can also be done overland with private or public bus.
Your departure time will be 5am from your stay ( you will be picked up) and depart to the ferry terminal. You have to be at the ferry terminal before at 9 am.
Here you will buy your own ferry ticket for one way (USD 15,-) or return ferry ticket (USD 20,-) using your passport and yellow fever vaccination card.
The ferry departs at 10 am to Guyana and you will arrive Guyana after 20 minutes.
Keep in mind, Guyana is 1 hour earlier than Suriname.
From the terminal after border formalities you will be transferred to your stay in Guyana, Georgetown. Most of the time there will be another bus and driver waiting for you on the other side of the river.
Driving time Paramaribo, Suriname to South Drain ferry terminal is 3,5 hours
Ferry river crossing is 20 minutes
Driving time Morleson Creek ferry terminal to Georgetown, Guyana is 3 hours
The same timings, driving and procedures when coming overland from Guyana to Suriname will apply.
