Der Trip war wunderbar! Unser Guide Ivan kannte sich bestens aus und hatviel erklärt. Die Yacht selbst ist sehr sauber gewesen und es war ein familiäres Gefühl an Board. Essen war immer sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich. Genau das richtige um in kurzer zeit viel zu sehen!

GOLONDRINA YACHT 4 DAYS

Incredible experience! You thinking of maybe doing it, maybe not, just do it! Worth it. Okay not so aggressive now this was such a nice experience and we would do it again. 

We came from Quito and stayed for 2 nights in the birdhouse. If you stay for more than one night your transportation from Quito there is free if not a $5 fee per person (cash only for the driver). You make a quick stop at a gas station for an ATM or restroom. Once you arrive you have lunch and get a mini tour of the place. Our favorite part was feeding the lamas. The views were totally worth it all alone. There are plenty of areas to relax. Food restrictions, no worries they will accommodate to Gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, etc. Leaving on your last day will be at 3pm if you take the suggested transport (paid by cash only) this is separate cost from your paid accommodations. They do accept card (with 3%) for paying for your accommodations. Also there are some included hikes for free but the major big hikes are added cost. 

Only complaint is the showers are almost "camping style" it was very cold but it did not help we showered at night. Advise take a shower in the day. 

COTOPAXI

Great time, Wonderful experience. I will highly recommend this lodge. One suggestion though, on the 4th day/last day there was not much activity and we had to leave early. It would have been nice if we had used the entire last day at the Amazon. 

Tucan Lodge 4D

Incredible opportunity; the guides were experienced. Unfortunately, we didn't make it to the top, but it was still such a cool experience to climb Cotopaxi at night.

COTOPAXI SUMMIT

The Yarina Lodge absolutely exceeded my expectations on all levels. The day/ night tours and activities were amazing. Chef Omar, Chef Sixto, Stefanío and Manager Veronica all provided amazing service to make the experience even better! Would 100% recommend this special & unique place! 

YASUNÍ YARINA LODGE

This place is magical. Really amazing to disconnect from the outside world with stunning views of Cotopaxi, good food, and met amazing people. Cuddles with the baby llama were a bonus. 

I had a very good time on the cruise around Isla Isabela on the Aida Maria with the crew and our guide Jose. The itinerary, the spots and program were perfect, also the food, buffet, SOUPS, deserts and snacks were delicious. Just one thing, the cabin is not big, with AC perfect, but I have to sleep with my big travel-bag in my bad and no place to get all the wet clothes dry. I know, that will always be a little problem. But if could do it again, I will. I was also lucky to have lovely fellow travelers in every age, perfect as a group. And guide Jose, who knows so much about everything of the Galápagos Islands, he loves and lives his job! To all a big Thank you, muchas gracias und Dankeschön from the Schattenparker😎

The Secret Garden is charming. We had a wonderful time enjoying the scenery and hanging out with the young crowd. Horseback riding in the Andes was magical. The Hill House had amazing views. But the best part were the warm and welcoming staff and visitors.

Summitted Cotopaxi on the 22nd of March. I believe we were the first to do so post the March 15th avalanche. Conditions were not ideal with poor visibility and very strong winds. Huge shoutout to my guide Marco who is an absolute machine and practically dragged me up in the last little bit. 

The whole process is seamless from start to finish, from being kitted out, to transportation to and from. Listen to your guide folks- mine said we should leave at 2AM but I insisted 1AM so I was way too early for the sunrise. The guides know the mountain like the back of their hands. It's pricey but you get what you pay for. 

The place to be to explore the beautiful surroundings of cotopaxi. The rooms are clean and provide a stunning view. Also you don't have to worry about food en drinks, they got you😁

From the moment we arrived everyone was great. All the boats crew were welcoming and full of smiles, the guides were both there with answers & insights throughout our 5 days. 
Food was great, chef Daniel kept everyone happy!
And the bed was very comfy too!

Beautiful time cruising in the Galapagos. Each day held amazing new things to see. Some walks each day as our guide informed us about the landscape, animals, flora, fauna - Melina was so knowledgeable and friendly! The crew on the ship was incredibly helpful. Miss the islands already!

Unforgettable Experience at an Amazing Hostel

This hostel exceeded all my expectations! The staff and volunteers were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and created such good vibes throughout my stay. Every meal was thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious, with the desserts being the highlight—plus, free banana bread every day was such a treat!

The views from the hostel were breathtaking, and the organized tours were well-planned to make the most of the stunning surroundings. Break times were perfectly paced, giving us the energy needed for all the adventures. The cozy fireplace area and comfortable hammocks with outdoor seating added to the relaxing atmosphere.

One of my favorite activities was feeding the llamas—it was such a unique and fun experience! The entire place is so well cared for, and the energy is just incredible.

A special shoutout to the kitchen staff, who work tirelessly to prepare meals that fuel you for hikes. Please remember to tip them—they truly deserve it!

If you’re feeling adventurous, I highly recommend attempting to summit Cotopaxi. As a 45-year-old female, I made it to the top, and it was a surreal and life-changing experience!

This is such a lovely place, and I will absolutely come back.

I recently stayed at Secret Garden Cotopaxi, and it was nothing short of magical! From the moment I arrived, the breathtaking views of the surrounding volcanoes set the tone for an unforgettable experience.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and made me feel at home right away. The facilities are charming, clean, and perfectly blend comfort with the rustic, adventurous vibe of the location. I stayed in one of the hobbit holes, and waking up to a postcard-worthy view of Cotopaxi Volcano every morning was surreal.

The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful—perfect for fueling up before a day of hiking or relaxing in the cozy common areas. The all-inclusive package made everything easy, with meals, snacks, and coffee always available.

What truly sets Secret Garden apart is the sense of community. The group dinners, cozy bonfires, and organized hikes foster a wonderful atmosphere for meeting fellow travelers. The guided hikes were fantastic, offering challenging but rewarding adventures with knowledgeable guides who ensured everyone's safety and enjoyment.

The hot tub with a view of the volcano was the cherry on top, offering a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring.

I can't recommend Secret Garden Cotopaxi enough—it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience for anyone who loves nature, adventure, and great company. I'll definitely be returning!

Was very hard work (with scarred lungs) climbing to base camp, but made it and was worthwhile. The day trip was worthwhile & well organised and the food was fab! 

COTOPAXI TRIP

An expensive trip but highly highly recommended !!! This was absolutely one of the highlights of my gap year of travel. The ship was beautiful, got my own private cabin, lucky me, a big room, the crew worked hard, the food was way more than expected. Every day you make 2 or 3 trips, on land and snorkeling. All trips were unique and outstanding. 
And on top of it our guide Darwin is superb! I cannot thank you enough Darwin! 

Beluga Cruise 8 Days

Just wow. Apart from maybe creaking beds, this place is perfection. The views are probably the most amazing I have ever seen in a hostel, the activities (paid and free) are incredible - def try the horseback riding - the food is nice, free banana cake/bananas the whole day and, oh yeah, feeding the lamas with banana peels. On top of it, you can spend a looong time on the toilets because they have an incredible view, too. A hot tube rounds it up (it does get busy there sometimes, however). Free hot chocolate, coffee, snacks included as well. And booking activities is very easy (just the day before). 

Honestly, if you go to Cotopaxi, this is the place!

The view is priceless! On a sunny day you can see 6 volcanos from the beautiful garden. They offer all types of meals, vegetarian, vegan, glutenfree … Coffee, tea and water and even bananas are free. It really is worth the long drive to get there.

Cotopaxi Summit

Amazing time. I was a volunteer there and Linda the boss was amazing and so helpful. The place and food is something I definitely wasn’t expecting but was really classy and comfortable. I loved being with all the cool volunteers, but it was a shame Daniel didn’t make the effort to help anyone or explain anything. 
The cooks are all lovely and the dogs have the most wonderful life. 

Good and complete Equipment for rent. Felt safe all the time, the guides (2 guides for 3 people) made the sad but responsible decision to not go further at the edge of the glacier because of the avalanche risk. Although a great experience! 

Summit Cotopaxi

The volunteers and staff were extremely accommodating! We had amazing food and the views were unbelievable. 

Our tour guide was great and it was well organized. I loved this day trip!!

The property itself is amazing. The views can be spectacular. They do an awesome job at setting you up to both relax and make new friends in an easy setting.
I had an vehicle incident and needed oil. The staff was able to arrange for me to acquire some and still go on the horseback riding adventure I had signed up for.
Just wish I had more time to spend here.

It was an amazing trip on the criuse treasure! Our guide Pepe was really competent, well informed, funny and patient. The cruise was really comfortable and the staff kind and friendly. I enjoyed every day in this beautiful and breathtaking surrounding of galapagos islands!

This was one of, if not the best, trip I have ever taken in my life. Ronald was an incredible guide and the staff at the lodge were so welcoming and caring. I felt so comfortable throughout the trip and saw the most incredible wildlife and felt super safe swimming in the River with the guides and everyone in the group. We have such a fun time giving each other tattoos and trying the local drinks. You will not regret doing this trip at Toucan Lodge; they are the best. 

TUCAN LODGE 4 DAY 4 PEOPLE DORM

We had an amazing time. The hikes were great and the chocolate we made was the most delicious thing I have ever eaten.

This is hands-down the nicest hostel I have ever been to. All of the staff, and volunteers made this stay incredibly memorable. The facilities were gorgeous and the food was some of my favourite in Ecuador.

I hope I can go back some day!

Cotopaxi Secret Garden

This was absolutely incredible.  From start to finish, we were cared for by the staff: well-fed, always asked if we needed anything, and everything was kept immaculately.  Every day had at least 2 excursions and never disappointed: sea lions galore, iguanas, sharks!, flamingos... just an epic adventure.  This is the only way you should do the Galapagos!

We had a wonderful time on the Quilotoa day trip. We tried a lot of different Ecuadorian fruits, we visited an indigenous people's house, we drank and danced and finally we visited the Quilotoa lake.

The climb down to Quilotoa and back up again was quite difficult if you are not used to the altitude and a bit out of shape. So I suggest staying in Quito a day or two before taking this trip and also don't rush while climbing back up.

Secret garden was such a unique and positive experience. The community is so lovely and the treks and activities were all well organized. The food was incredible and filling. The accomodations were amazing.

The only thing that could be clearer is that you will most likely have to pay for a trek (we went in the rainy season, so one of the free hikes was discouraged).

Mindo Day Trip

Es war ein fantastisches Abenteuer! Eine tolle Lodge, wir hatten jede Menge Spaß und Aktivitäten mit unserem tollen guide und dem fantastischem Team. Das Essen war oberlecker und ich habe jeden Moment genossen! 

Tucan lodge

Really remarkable trip.  The staff and accommodations were great.  I was looking for an experience with animals and nature and this exceeded all expectations.  Please do book.

Caiman Lodge

It was fantastic. A medium challenge for mind and body, you can do it with calm and good breathing. It was nice to meet Dario, our guide, who was very special with us. 
At the end, we had a great lunch in a nice restaurant. 

Cotopaxi Day Trip

The Trip to Otavalo was absolutely awesome! The Guide Alex explained a lot about ecuadorian culture, history & food! The market is really big and good to get some cheap souvenirs for family and friends. Would always book it again!

Otavalo day Trip

I went to multiple travel agencies looking for a lodge that was owned by an indigenous member of one of the Amazonian tribes, and finally got lucky enough to find Toucan Lodge through this agency. The local guides all grew up in the Cuyabeno reserve and knew the area since they were kids. The village of the owner of Toucan Lodge lives a 2-3 hour walk from Toucan (if you go in the wet season the village can be accessed by boat). The food was really really delicious and they accommodated me exceptionally well as a vegan. I saw all the monkeys, Amazonian Boa, Anaconda, Pink River Dolphins, caimans, giant otters, toucans, macaws, and so much more. We rescued a sloth that swam to our boat to escape a heavy current. We made Yuca Bread at the local Siona Village and were served a feast of Jungle fruits and veggies and tubors. They served dried Paicha from the River for fish eaters. We spent time with the local shaman who has a strong desire to cure and believes that he can cure anything, including cancer. I had the opportunity to return and spend the night with the shaman in a beautiful ceremony. I saw more frogs and insects and beautiful flowers and trees than o have in a lifetime. 

I will be back, and Toucan Lodge will be my stay. Many of the other travelers on the bus back to Quito stayed at other lodges, but none of them stayed as active as we did and saw as many animals. Day hikes, day boat, night hikes, and night boats. Swim in the Laguna and absorb yourself in this pristine jungle! 10/10! 

Say hi to Carlos (Siona Owner). He’s an extremely cool guy and still feels like a kid when he’s exploring the jungle with you! Don’t miss out!

Food was delicious. The birdhouse is so cute and amazing to wake up in! The waterfall trek on the arrival day is really nice!!
